Gambler Junior Hunter Title

Gambler went from Sand Spring Ev’ry Paw’s A Winner TO Sand Spring Ev’ry Paw’s A Winner JH on June 10th 2012 at the Madison Retriever Club summer hunt test in Madison, WI.
Gambler is out of my male: HRCH Sand Spring Norm of Caroway MH x HRCH Hope Springs Dowry MH**
He was born on May 13, 2011. He passed his first hunt test on his 1 yr birthday. I couldn’t of been a prouder mom. Gambler had a rough start to his hunt test career. He failed 3 out of 7 tests but in the end he pulled it off. I was starting to get discouraged as his dad and sister failed only 1 Junior Hunter test and had their titles by the time they were 10 months old. I sat back and thought about it and realized that the G-man, Giblet, aka Gambler is his own person and he has nothing to prove and so I shouldn’t have anything to prove and when the time is right it will all come together and we will get our titles. I realize there isn’t a race and I need to do things properly in order to set the foundation for his future work with will be way more involved than junior work. So it will be Gambler and I taking one step at a time and dealing with the obsticals that might come in our path. He is the first dog that I will be training and running on my own so it should be one heck of a ride that I will enjoy riding.
We already started Senior work we had to stop to concentrate on Junior work so hopefully it won’t take long for the little man to remember what he was taught and we can start running some tests in July.
I’ve waited 8 years for my Norman little boy pup and I finally got him last year and he is all that I ever wanted. Hope a person can have 2 soulmates as I have 2. Norman & Gambler the loves of my life.
Congrats little gman on all the hard work you have done and getting your title this past Sunday!

Here is a video of his hunt tests and pictures.

Congratulations to the new JH. So true that it isn’t a race as someone older and wiser than I am reminded me recently. It is all about fun and it sure looked like Gambler was having fun in the video. He is a handsome boy.

Thank you for your comments. It was really hard to realize that it wasn’t a race but I think I have it in my head now. At least I hope so. Norman and Nellie each only failed one test so I have high hopes. But then again Norman failed many masters in a row before we figured out what we needed to be doing.
