The Joy In Their Eyes {This Moment} See Beautiful

The Niners have all went to their new homes and are settling in very nicely. It’s been a fabulous 8 weeks with Glory and Bear’s puppies that were born on 2/10/18. I couldn’t be happier at how these puppies turned out, I hope they continue to flourish in their new homes. Near the end of their stay with me people asked me if I was sad they were leaving, if I was keeping any and most of all how could I give them up.

Yes of course I am sad they are leaving, I spent many hours with these precious souls who wouldn’t be sad they were leaving. We are not keeping any because we have their full sister Guilty at home and she needs our attention this summer with training and running hunt tests. How could I give them up, well as you will see from the smiles on the new owners faces is how come I could give them up. At this moment when the niners were picked up by their new families I saw beautiful and the joy in their eyes and that is how I can give them up. If I didn’t give them up there would be no joy to spread and the world would be a much better place if there was more joy.

My Favorite Wagon Wheel ~ {This Moment} See Beautiful

Each year when we stay at the farm house in Saskatchewan while hunting I have to take pictures of the dogs in front of the beautiful wagon that is on the property. I just love the wagon wheel photos. I see beauty in the wagon and the extra beauty of my dogs in front of it makes it even more beautiful.

Life’s Simplest Moments {This Moment} See Beautiful

Last night while hanging on the couch relaxing from a day of work then a little dog training I look over to this moment.

Glory on her back in heaven because John was rubbing her belly. Each time he rubbed her right paw would go up in a wave motion. He loves his Glory girl and I love seeing these moments.

This morning while making a stop in my way to dog training I had to stop and take a moment to capture one of my favorite sites in Montello. This waterfall is such breath taking sitting in the middle of town. Would love to just sit in the park with my dogs and take in the peaceful moment, I can’t thou as the park doesn’t allow dogs so I’ll just look at the picture and dream.

Hope you all have a See Beauiful day!

Making A difference With Pet Therapy

{This Moment} See Beautiful

Each Friday I do pet therapy at the Beaver Dam Middle School. Every other Friday I visit a cognitive disorder classroom at the same school. There are three very special girls that attend that class. They are in wheelchairs and can’t speak or do anything for themselves. When we started going there Gambler was a little aloof with one of the girls, even know she can’t speak per say she is very vocal with noises. Gambler would hang out with the other girls, get pets, sniff their chairs, kiss their hands, while he was doing this the one girl would become very vocal and Gamblers eyes would get big. He didn’t quite know what to think of that. I would then take Gambler over to her chair and the teachers would have her pet him, she continued to tell her story very loudly. We did short sessions so we didn’t scare Gambler. We continued to come back every other week and would work with Gambler and this girl.

Last Friday I and the teachers saw a break through with Gambler and with this girl. She was talking very loudly when Gambler was visiting the other gal, the teacher wheeled her up and Gambler headed right over to her he stood by her wheelchair and the teacher started helping the girl pet him. He stood there and wouldn’t move, the girl then all of a sudden stopped being vocal and you could see she was more relaxed and calmed down. Gambler then went back to the other girl got a couple pets and then went back to the one that is vocal. She was quite the rest of the visit and the teachers said “wow look what Gambler did, she hasn’t been this calm all morning”, “I think we need Gambler to stay here all day”! They noticed the difference and I for sure noticed the difference.

After that session Gambler got a big ole treat of Culvers ice cream!

Gambler loves the elevator ride we take to see the kids, sometimes a kid will join us then he gets all kinds of pets.

It makes me See Beautiful when Gambler makes a difference in kids life.

Winter Beauty {This Moment} See Beautiful

A Winter Memory

Fresh-fallen snow, untouched by man, tops bushes fence and tree;
The strong, gusty wind, whirling it ’round, improves and enriches its beauty.
It sauntered down in the silence of night, leaving a scenic delight;
Now, in the sun, it dances and winks as we drink in the woundrous sight.
This is a picture-post-card scene – winter at its best;
It leaves a mark etched in our heart of when winter was our guest.

Making A Differance ~ {This Moment} See Beautiful

Last Friday I wrote about Gambler’s first therapy visit with the middle school kids which was a couple of weeks before, if you missed it you can read it here.

 Today I am writing about our second visit with the kids. I threw a bunch of wigs in my therapy bag to take with and have the kids put different wigs on Gambler. This week I had a new room to visit which I will be visiting every other week. In this room was a gal that I visited when she was at the elementary school. She just loved dressing Gambler up and always had a great imagination telling me stories. It was St. Patrick’s Day and I brought green hats and hair. She wanted me to take a picture of her with Gambler so I did and showed it to her. She just smiled! After that visit I made a copy of that picture found a frame and gave it to her on our last visit. I didn’t see her for a year after that. This year on our visit she was dressing Gambler up again telling me stories and said “I still have that picture of Gambler and I that you gave me”, ” it sits on my stand in my room”. I told her that was so wonderful that Gambler was so happy to be part of her life. It makes me proud that we are making a difference in these kids life! A reason to {This Moment} See Beautiful.
