September 22, 2016 is the day to Shine A Light On Orphan Pets Waiting For Forever Homes. It’s a day to get the world talking about pets needing adoption whether they are in a Humane Society or Rescue they need forever homes.

Today I’m going to Shine A Light on CRROW – Chesapeake Retriever Rescue Of Wisconsin.

Chesapeake Retriever (Chessie) Rescue of Wisconsin (WI)

Click on the above photo of CRROW and it will take you to their home page to view the three Chesapeake’s that are in rescue right now that are awaiting their forever home. Help spread the word and get Copper, Kaiah and August out of rescue.

Since I wrote this post ahead of time as I am on vacation I am happy to report that August the Chesapeake found her forever home! Thanks for all you do in rescue CRROW!

CRROW

CRROW stands for: Chesapeake Retriever (Chessie) Rescue Of Wisconsin (WI).

A 501(c)(3) Corporation- Non Profit Rescue for Chesapeake Bay Retriever breed in Wisconsin

The Chesapeake Retriever Rescue of WI is a group of volunteers dedicated to rescuing Chesapeake Bay Retrievers and finding them loving forever homes. We rescue adoptable purebred or mixed Chesapeake Bay Retrievers from shelters, strays, and from owners who can no longer care for their dogs. We are staunch promoters of spaying and neutering, and no dog is placed by our organization without this being done before placement. We also educate potential adopters about the breed to make sure a Chesapeake is the right dog for their family.

If anyone is looking at adopting a rescued Chesapeake I suggest you check out CRROW. If your lifestyle doesn’t permit you to adopt a Chesapeake at this time maybe you could foster one until they are able to find their furever home. If you can’t foster a Chesapeake right now maybe you could volunteer at different functions that CRROW goes to and help promote CRROW and get the word out about this organization. If you are unable to do any of these things maybe you could just make a donation to CRROW or got to their online store and make a purchase to help raise money (part of the proceeds of different sales go to CRROW) to help the Chesapeakes in WI that are in need.

Max & Co Jewelry – Very nice selection of jewelry forsale

Cookbook I bought several cookbooks to give out at Christmas gifts this year. I got mine the other day and took a look at the recipes, the volunteers did a fabulous putting this cookbook together and gathering what look like very yummy recipes to put in it. When I got my cookbook I took a picture of Gambler reading the cookbook, just as he was reading the cookbook he licked his lips. I posted this picture up on Gamblers Facebook page and Sue from CRROW saw it and asked if she could use it for book promotions. I told her that I would get some better photo’s as that one was fuzzy hence the photo shoot blog Monday Mischief from yesterday. Here is one of several pictures I took for the photo shoot.

Lula’s Second Chance Book – Read about Lula’s adventures which are quite grand. I have this book and couldn’t put it down until I was done reading it. I met Lula at the Wisconsin Chesapeake Days and she was quite the ham. Thanks to Pam for fostering and then adopting Lula and giving her a second chance with all her special needs. She is a great rescue ambassador.

You can also submit stories of your rescued Chesapeake and they will be featured in “Rescued by a Chessie”  or if you have a Chessie that has passed over the rainbow bridge then submit a story to “Over the Rainbow”.

You can find them on Facebook also.

This is a great organization for Wisconsin Chessie rescue with a great group of people running it and making it happen. Check them out today and do what you can to help them out so the Chessie’s in need will continue to get care.
