Happy Saturday All!!
2 years ago today I started Nothing But Norman. I wanted a day dedicated to him as a month prior he was diagnosed with osteosarcoma and I knew he wouldn’t be with me for very long. I wanted a way to remember him, relive our memories and have a place I could go to when all I wanted was Norman. I was lucky to have had Norman with me for 13 years of his life. Those were 13 wonderful years where many memories were made. Thank you for letting me share our memories with you each week. I truly feel this has helped the grieving process and I feel even closer to him.
The pictures for today were taken 2 years ago when we took a ride to Lake Puckaway. During the 5 months Norman was with us after his diagnosis I had a bucket list for him, the bucket list was a list of places to revisit with Norman that were places we enjoyed when he was younger. He loved lake Puckaway. It was there he learned to ride in a boat, swim, catch fish, icefish but most of all it was a place he got to duck hunt which was his favorite past time in the fall.
This weekend has been special in another way, Glory delivered Normans great grand children. My hopes is that one day the little female we keep will be bred to Norman and I will have another son or daughter straight from my soulmate. Today was special and sad all at the same time. We were blessed with 9 beautiful little burr heads. 6 females and 3 males. We are sad because one of the puppies didn’t make it, she is now an angel watching down on this litter sending them love and strength to become some really special pups to some really special people.

Congratulations!!! I wondered why your post was late today, but then got busy and just now came over to read! So sad that one little one didn’t make it, but it is still a wonderful and happy occasion. I think it is perfectly fitting that they are here for Nothing but Norman’s two year anniversary! He looks so happy in those lake photos!
Congratulations on the new pups!
Sorry to hear you are bored this weekend! LOL! Congratulations on the babies, so sorry one didn’t make it. That has to be tough. Quite a nice big litter. Now that the contest is done, how many did you plan on from the x-ray?
Hi Emma, each doctor had different answers on how many puppies were on the xray. One doctor said 7-9, one said 7-8 and the last one said 10 so I was going with 9-10.
I am just a mix of emotions! You tribute to Norman and the fact the pups were born on his 2-year anniversary of Nothing but Norman is so special, I cried, then the one buried, I cried, you lit the candle, I cried, but then …PUPPIES! My heart is happy♥ Congratulations!!
Congratulations to all of you on the new arrivals, I’m sure that Norman is very proud. Glory looks happy and very tired. Good job Glory, good job. Grandpa Norman is very proud and happy!
Bittersweet! What a touching post!
How can it have already been 2 years? It all goes by in the blink of an eye. I love this tribute to Norman each week. As I read I remember my Lucy. Thank you 🙂
it’s wonderful that the puppies were born on Norman ‘ 2 year anniversary, it gives you something very special to hav e of Norman. He is there with you always and now with his grandchildren. The puppies are beautiful and Congratulations to Glory for a wonderful job.
Congrats on the beautiful litter. I also cannot believe that it has been 2 years!
Thank you for sharing memories of Norman. Losing a pet is always hard even when they’ve lived a long full life with you. They just don’t stay around long enough for our hearts. Norman sounded like quite the amazing boy. Maybe there’s a Norman II in Glory’s litter? Hope springs eternal. <3
I just love that the angel puppy is next to Norman for eternity. So sweet.
