I try to be careful with candles, keeping them out of the pets’ reach. But this year I decided to try some of the LED ones. I was resistant because I figured it was bad enough we had a fake tree! But they actually look pretty real, since they flicker. The ones I got were tea lights and if they’re inside a candle holder you really can’t tell the difference. Plus they shut off automatically, so no remembering to blow them out!
Oh – I’m also obsessive about not leaving pans on the stove. My nephew’s Lab almost started his house on fire that way!
thanks for great tips!!! we will get a pallet tree next year, like the most of our weim-friends… seems that is the only solution for a peaceful christmess ;O)))
