When it is house cleaning time I have to lock up my gang or they will attack the central vacuum brush when I am vacuuming. They have been around the vacuum since they were 8 weeks old but they still seem to take their aggression out on it if they are left to run around while I am cleaning. They will bark, they will growl, they will grab it with their teeth and try and shake it they will do whatever they can to try and stop the movement. They will run around the couch and try and attack it from all angles. It is just easier to either put them in their kennels or put them outside when I run the vacuum. Today I put the pups in their kennels and the old ones got to go outside and hang out. While I was vacuuming I would look out the window and their Norman was looking in watching me, Nellie knew I wasn’t going to let them in so she just laid down and watched over the pasture. In no time they were able to come back in. Norman laid down on his pad while I got the steam cleaner out to clean the laminate floors. He doesn’t like the vacuum but apparently the steam cleaner didn’t have the same effect on him and he laid there while I cleaned the floor. He didn’t even mind the steam when it was close to him, I bet he thought it was like being at the spa and he was having his sauna time. It’s just weird what will bother the dogs and what won’t.
Me and Nellie do not like the vacumn cleanere either. It is scary and makes lots of frightening noises. Love Nellie and Jasper, the two bestest maremmas in all the land.
Yikes we run away when there is cleaning to be done as that means the dreaded Vacular. Have a super Sunday.
Best wishes Molly
😀 Spa day for the dogs – cute. It is weird what they will react to, especially, as you say, they have been around the vacuum since little pups.
