Two treats? Nellie got two treats on her birthday? Dang, don’t tell Sampson and Delilah, they’ll start making demands.

Yogurt-granola cups AND cake? Wow. I feel so guilty. I barely remember to say Happy Birthday to my pups!

Yes Nellie got two treats, she didn’t get that big by not eating. Now that her bday is over I really need to get going with PetsMove and get her extra weight off her which I know is not healthy for her. This also coming with this week being prevent pet obesity.

Wordless Wednesday~Watching Each Way

GOLDENWOOFS says:

Oh I wonder how many birds did you guys spotted.

We spotted thousands and thousands, it was just amazing the amount of birds up there. Mainly snow geese but still a ton of birds.

FLEABYTE says:

Birds with long legs?! WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO WITH BIRD WITH LONG LEGS?!?

Birds with long legs? Not emus I hope. :)

No they weren’t emus but Cranes. We take the crane breast and cut them into chunks, put blackened seasonings on them and soak in butter and fry on high heat in a cast iron skillet. It is very nummy that way.

DOGS N PAWZ says:

Gambler on the cat perch? My dogs wouldn’t have enough coordination to do that. We are totally impressed! Sharing Rocky.

Yes Gambler on the perch, he used the low perch then I sat him on the middle one. He was all wobbly when he jumped up there and then I put him up and told him to sit and he did.

FLEABYTE says:

MK is really becoming a beautiful cat!

Thank you very much. MK had a rude awaking today when I took her to work to just have a kidney ultrasound done to see if indeed she only had one kidney before her spay and declaw surgery next week. The ultrasound confirmed she only has one kidney on the left side. It looked good so since we had time we went ahead and spayed her and declawed her. She is waking up now and is in stoner land.

Hey Jo-Ann, thanks so much for the lovely words and for co-hosting FUF! It’s great to have you on board. I LOL’d at your comment about Nellie’s weight. I think sometimes the pet food manufacturers tell us to feed more than they need. (For their own greedy purposes of course!)

Hope little MK is well on the mend.

    Have a great weekend.

    Hi Y’all!

What a great follow up! I’m tryin’ to catch up with y’all since my Humans have been gone most every day lately…of course the ‘puter goes too since they use it for business. Sigh…

MK, hope you’re feeling much better today. Please forgive your human; she wasn’t being mean to you, just lookin’ out for your best interests. That’s what loving humans do for us.

My Human said to tell you the crane breast sounds really yummy. She’s had all kinds of wild fowl and other wild meats including squirrel, rabbit, frog and, of course, deer…but never crane…It sounds yummy to me too!

    Y’all come by now,
    Hawk aka BrownDog

Really, you eat cranes? Are you just pulling our leg?
You take such great photos of your dogs! I hope MK’s recovery goes well, and she doesn’t get too mad at you!

I didn’t know you could hunt/eat crane. I never heard of that before. Sounds tasty!

Wow, your vet let you come in while they were doing the surgery? I don’t think mine would let me… but then, I don’t think I’d want to be in there. It would probably freak me out. Hope she’s recovering well.

    Great FUF! Thanks for co-hosting!

I am reading late. LOL that people don’t believe you eat crane. One of our training pals prepared it by grilling it with blackened seasoning on it. I did not have any because it was after a hunt test and it was a hot day. I did not want to chance the blackened seasoning that day, (which sometimes doesn’t agree with me). Everyone really liked it prepared that way. Guess I should have tried it. 🙂

    Hope MK is feeling better.
