Gambler’s Guided Pheasant Hunt

This past weekend Gambler had a great day of hunting. He was asked by my friend Justin from All Seasons Adventures In Wisconsin to come pheasant hunting with him and his clients. Justin has a puppy out of Nellie’s litter with Tiny back in 09. This hunt was going to be a afternoon of constant running on land to flush and retrieve the pheasants with a estimate of 20 birds to be taken. Riley has some arthritis from a previous broken hip as a puppy and a ACL repair so she gets sore if hunted hard so Gambler was happy to lend a paw for this hunt.

Gambler is no stranger to pheasant hunting nor to hunting a preserve. He has hunted at Loan Oak many times. It was a warm day so they had to be careful that Gambler didn’t over heat, they took many breaks and offered him up water. After the hunt they tallied up the birds and the gang got 16. It was a great day! The guy’s thought it was great that Gambler was a photo hog and wanted his picture taken. They put sunglasses and a  hat on him and he just smiled even bigger. Thanks Justin for taking Gambler hunting!

I love the pics of Gambler in his shades. ♥ I think I’d be a nervous wreck with someone taking my dog out hunting. Of course, I worry about my son going hunting too. ☺ Those pheasants are gorgeous.
