This past weekend Gambler competed in an UKC Rally Obedience 2 event. He needed one more pass for his RO2 title in which he did. We did the course together without flaw with a score of 100/100 and a first place ribbon for having the fastest time.
We were entered in another trial that same day so we competed in the next level of rally which is Rally Obedience 3. We passed that trial as well with a score of 97/100 and third place. We now have one leg out of three for his RO3 title. Our next rally event won’t be until this August so plenty of time to train.
These were the gals that competed in RO3 with Gambler and I, they all qualified and received placements as well. Polly is the owner and trainer at Canine Solutions LLC in Beaver Dam where Gambler and I attend classes. Thanks Polly for the classes and thanks to all our friends who compete with us and cheer us on.
Since I would be at the trial all day I entered Slammer in conformation. He is too young for the real deal so I entered him in puppy novice to get accumulated to the show ring, the distractions and the judges. He did very well in the ring. There were no other chessies in his class so of course he got some pretty ribbons for his effort. There were about 10 other puppies in the best in show puppy ring where different breeds won that. We will continue to practice for conformation and enter some events when he is 6 months old.
We had a great day and so enjoy doing rally with our friends. Here’s to a summer of training and titling in the fall!
Congratulations on a couple great runs and a title.
