Gertie is now 16 weeks old and for the past two weeks she has been attending obedience school. She finished her puppy vaccinations so it was time for her to get some learning and socializing.

We go to Annie’s Gone To The Dogs in Portage, WI on Saturdays with my sister-in-law Lynn and her corgi Harley. Obedience class is more fun with a friend.

She has been a fast learner. She was doing some sits at home but that has really been the only obedience she has done so she is learning heeling on the right and left side, down and fronts.

For fun after class she gets to enjoy the agility equipment. Getting her used to the equipment will help if we decide to do agility later in life.

This will help with all the stuff we will be doing later in life like pet therapy, hunt test training and competition as well as hunting and being a good dog around people. We will continue to go on Saturdays until event’s fill our Saturdays.
