The time has come for Glory to have a new boyfriend. Last Wednesday she came into heat again so in less than two weeks we will be doing another breeding with her and hopefully having 2016 puppies. I assure you I have had Glory examined by my Veterinarian and she is in great physical condition and in great health that she can handle another pregnancy. Normally we have our litters in the winter months so we don’t have to take time away from training in the summer. We are doing two breeding’s in a row to get her back on the winter cycle. The reproduction doctors are now saying that if you have a young dog in great health that you can breed them in a row, what some are doing is breeding their females 4 times in a row and then spaying them so that they have their litters when they are young and then spayed to prevent future problems. I’m not going to go that route with Glory but I will have this second breeding this year. This breeding announcement is also listed under upcoming litter(s) page along with the puppy contract and medical care schedule.

Glory is as sweet as they come. Her calm, friendly disposition causes everyone to fall under her spell when they meet her. But don’t let that good-nature fool you – when it’s time to hunt, she’s locked and loaded! We couldn’t be happier with the drive and work ethic in our girl.
August 2015, she earned her AKC Senior Hunter title. She has 3 AKC conformation points toward the 15 required for her champion title.
Glory also participates UKC performance and conformation events. She earned her Hunting Retriever title in August of 2014. Glory has her UKC conformation title and was the #6 Chesapeake in the 2012 Top Ten UKC dog and breed standings. As a result, she was invited to the Top Ten at the UKC Premier, where she was awarded the Award of Excellence and two Reserve Champion ribbons. 12/4/13 Glory became a certified Therapy Dog with Therapy Dogs Inc. She is currently visiting a Elementary School with children that have been diagnosed with EBD (Emotional Behavioral Disability). She is doing great at her new job. The fall of 2014 Glory received her Canine Good Citizen Title (CGC) and American Temperament Test certificate (TT) as well as her Therapy Dog Novice title (THDN). 10/7/15 Glory finished the second level of the CGC certificates and received her Community Canine Title (CGCA).

Bear is a well tempered, correct coat and conformation 4.5 year old dark brown med (75-80#) chessie with excellent health clearances that comes from a nice field trial pedigree which contains multiple Dual Champions as well as multiple Amateur Field Champions, there are numerous show titles in this pedigree. Bear’s mother and one of his siblings have Qualified All Age twice and another sibling has Qualified All Age once and was the high point qualifying Chesapeake in 2013. He has proven field titles with his offspring. Currently Bear is running AKC Master Hunter tests (needs 2 more passes for his title), Bear was owner trained and handled for most of his tests, his training according to Dennis was easy and all about business with a lot of drive . Bear is a proven stud dog that has offspring with hunt test titles. You can see by the photos below he is a excellent and devoted hunting dog who hunts waterfowl and upland birds with his owner Dennis who has been training dogs for 15 years 8 of those he has owned and trained Chesapeakes. Since Dennis’s injury from work giving him a bad knee when out hunting in the muck Bear will check back on Dennis and if he needs help he will come to his side to assist Dennis in getting out of the muck. A overall cool dog! Dennis is the owner and operator of 3-D Retrievers in Kansas.
The Puppies
Since Glory and Bear have proven records in hunting venues as well as being hunters along with proven UKC conformation for Glory and proven pedigree’s with Dual Champions on both sides, this breeding should produce puppies that excel in the field and show ring, as well as being wonderful family companions. Puppies will not be affected with any of the genetic diseases as DM, EIC, or PRA. We expect them to be structurally sound as a result of the great clearances from both parents. These puppies will be registered with AKC and UKC, will be raised in the house along with being raised with Puppy Culture techniques that help in puppy rearing and socialization. They will also have the Early Neurological Stimulation done. See puppy contract for addition information on the sale of these puppies.
