A star will shine bright tonight over Stancerville as Sand Spring Chesapeakes said goodbye to Gertie this morning at 1:04. In her short life of 5 years, 4 months and 1 day she was full of life until this Wednesday when she went to the vet for back pain and then Thursday she went downhill fast with showing neurological signs leading to not being able to walk and cluster seizures. No more wood hauling, no more rooing, no more therapy visits, no more Canada trips, no more pheasant hunting, no more hunting of any kind, no more being the fun police, no more high rise kennel, no more ribbons, no more titles, no more Dirty Gertie.
