Last Tuesday Nichole and Hector traveled to Tennessee to be evaluated for their AKC CGC titles. They started with the Canine Good Citizen then did the Community Canine and finished with the Canine Good Citizen Urban. Hector and Nichole did great and passed all three tests.
This is what Nichole said about the experience: My baby Hector isn’t such a baby anymore. He is now “Sand Spring Prince of Troy CGCA CGCU TKI”, “Hector”.
Today we made an 8 hour round trip so he could get his CGC (Canine Good Citizen), CGCU (Canine Good Citizen Urban) and his CGCA (Canine Good Citizen Advanced, also known as Community Canine) titles today. It was 3 hours of straight testing…… reminded me of the ACT 😂
The guy that tested him trains and hires out dogs (and a handler) to work cargo coming into our ports, the borders, and any kind of security you can think of. It was a warehouse full of training stuff, mock cargo, and 80 dogs! 80 BAD ASS dogs!
We did part of the testing in the warehouse, part outside and then we went to Lowe’s to finish it up. It was tough, and, as you can imagine, he cut us zero slack! He was all business for sure.
It has been a long day for me, mom AND Hector but, we got what we went for! I can not tell you how proud I am of him!!!!
Good boy Hector! Good boy!Â
This was Layla’s travel basket that Hector used as a wee little pup, he thinks he can still fit into it. What a sweetie, ain’t no wonder he passed his tests, what a gentle giant.
Congrats Nichole and Hector, a job well done! I’m so proud of you both. Thank you for all the new adventures you two are doing.
We love you maw maw 🥰
congrats to Hector and his mama!!! that is amazing!!!
