Here I Am

On Saturday’s Nothing But Norman #138 post you read about my Grandma Bradley’s life and passing. If you didn’t get a chance to read it and would like to you can read it here.

I ask you in this family grand kid photo if you could pick me out.

See if you can pick me out. I was the third oldest grand kid.

easyweimaraner: Are you the girl in the bright pink sweater half covered by the kid in the bright blue sweater?

cape cod brown dogs: Oh I think you are in the back left in the red sweater as I can see a bit of a smile coming on.

I’m the one to the right of the flag in the white shirt, glasses and big hair.

I want to thank everyone who left such sweet comments on this blog and on my facebook page. Going through life’s ups and downs goes so much smoother with the help from your friends. I am blessed to have so many friends that are here for me!

Peace to all and now go clean your house and purge everything so your kids/grandkids don’t have a ton of stuff to go through when you pass. That is my words of wisdom today as I have spent the last three days cleaning out Grandma’s house that she lived in for the past 30 years and never threw anything out. It’s cool to see the hidden treasures beyond the empty candy containers but really one can throw out empty containers. 🙂

It is a walk down memory lane of sorts, but it is hard. Hopefully it will bring joy as well as tears and help the healing process begin.

Oh then I was completely wrong :o) but anyway I remember that hairstyle… bet it was invented by aquanet, without I was lost that time… I hear you and I felt the same as I helped my mother to clean out her parents house…. we both cried and after a week we put the rest in boxes what still wait for brave discoverers :o)

When my Mom knew that she would not be here much longer( she had inoperable cancer) we sorted out lots of things so that what was left she wantef me to have and knew I would be keeping.

We purged our home after my father-in-law passed away. If we don’t think the kids want it, we don’t keep it. Of course, I have a TON of junk in my attic. LOL!

I went through that with my father’s home and swore I wouldn’t do it to my family. But I lost interest in all that cleaning out until we finally packed up to move. We did some serious cleaning out then, and I just could not believe all the stupid stuff I have saved! LOL

My Aunt and Mother died within a week of each other. My Aunt took days so many things no where to put them. Then, all my Mom’s things we were swamped with So many things no one wanted. John and i are trying to get rid of things that aren’t needed.
