A while back one of my puppy buyers asked if I could get her a list of supplies for when she brings her new puppy home. I was honored that she wanted my advice on what I recommended for my puppies and asked ahead of time so she could be prepared for the arrival of the new puppy.
Here is my list of supplies I gave her and then the other puppy buyers in no particular order.
- Busy Buddy Tug-A-Jug
My gang just loves this Tug-A-Jug they will play with it for a long time. I got it to put in the kennel with Glory when she was having some separation anxiety issues and it helped her to adjust to her kennel. It gave her something to do instead of sit in the kennel and wonder when I was coming home. She no longer needs this toy in her kennel but she still loves to play with it and get the treats out.
If you click on this picture it should bring you to the Puppy Culture website where you can purchase a video. I do get a small commission for recommending these videos. Well worth the investment as your puppy is a life long investment why not start them out right.
You’re a good Mom!
They have a great start.
I would just give a jug of water for the road trip and to transition to their new water.
Did you make collars and leads for all?
We love ours.
Woofs!
I meant I would add water to your list not that I only gave them
A jug of water!
Wow! That is a great list! You sure take care of all your pups even when they are off to their new homes.
you are a super breeder, the pups have the bestest start for a great life with their new families :o) I loved the stuffingless toys too and while I was in puppy fever waiting for Easy I bought them all. Easy loved them all – to pieces :o)
No puppy here at the moment, but we are going to get that fur dry wrap. That would really be handy! Thanks for that tip.
That is a wonderful and comprehensive list.
I was enjoying reading all of the neat things that your recommend, then I got to the last two pictures and the cuteness just blew me away! You should use them in advertising. ♥
Gosh what a great list. LOVE the idea of the Adaptil collar and ‘fur-towel.’ I want that for Sam! 😉
What a great list, which I wish I’d had when we brought Luke home! We did have a few of those things though. Kongs are definitely a lifesaver when leaving them in a crate.
I love the video illustrations! Like Emma, I might get that Furminator wrap….that looks great for after swimming!
Hi Y’all!
I showed my Human the Furminator fur dry wrap and the dry paws mat. I think it would be nice if she got them for me, don’t you? I’m 10 now so it’s important I don’t stay wet or get chilled.
Y’all come on by,
Hawk aka BrownDog
That is a very thorough list! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for sharing! Do you have any suggestions for first aid products to keep on hand too? Thank you!
I will have to do a post on first aid, I keep hydrogen peroxide, syringes to administer it, vet wrap, gauze sponges, cotton roll, ace bandages, diarrhea medicine, pepcid for nausea, benedryl for bug bites, antibiotic cream.
