Last Friday I wrote about Gambler’s first therapy visit with the middle school kids which was a couple of weeks before, if you missed it you can read it here.
Today I am writing about our second visit with the kids. I threw a bunch of wigs in my therapy bag to take with and have the kids put different wigs on Gambler. This week I had a new room to visit which I will be visiting every other week. In this room was a gal that I visited when she was at the elementary school. She just loved dressing Gambler up and always had a great imagination telling me stories. It was St. Patrick’s Day and I brought green hats and hair. She wanted me to take a picture of her with Gambler so I did and showed it to her. She just smiled! After that visit I made a copy of that picture found a frame and gave it to her on our last visit. I didn’t see her for a year after that. This year on our visit she was dressing Gambler up again telling me stories and said “I still have that picture of Gambler and I that you gave me”, ” it sits on my stand in my room”. I told her that was so wonderful that Gambler was so happy to be part of her life. It makes me proud that we are making a difference in these kids life! A reason to {This Moment} See Beautiful.

it’s great that she still has this picture… and maybe once she will be one of your clients and brings her own g-man home :o)
They obviously love dressing up!
Such a great pup working for an even greater cause – love!
That is definitely something to be proud of, and a beautiful story! Gambler just looks like he has so much fun with it too.
Wonderful idea to bring wigs and let them have fun playing dress-up! It’s beautiful to see the children’s smiles I bet.
You and Gambler are bringing love and beauty with you – be proud, you’re a positive influence in our world with your work with children. And the wigs idea is pure genius – surely they must get a real kick out of that!!
That is so sweet. ♥ What a wonderful impact you and Gambler made in her life.
I think that is so great that Gambler will let them dress him and give them what they need to feel better:)
Making a difference…thats what pet therapy is all about. Good on you guys!
That is a wonderful story.
