John and Gambler in the holding blind awaiting their turn at the Senior Hunt Test set up.
Gambler looking at where I was standing.
Trying to find me.
The walk up.
Marking the birds down.
Taking off.
Sitting on whistle waiting for his hand signal (trying to look for me).
Found the bird.
Heading back to John, then…….
A detour to mom hiding between the cars to video tape so Gambler didn’t see me. I didn’t hide very well as John could not call Gambler back to him he kept running towards me and didn’t stop till he was by me. This was the biggest mischief mistake that cost us $70.00. It was bitter sweet thou as I was so happy to see he loved me so much he wanted to bring his prize to me but then again it was sad that he didn’t complete the test and we donated our money to yet another hunt test. What I learned from this day of mischief is that I need to continue to run him at the hunt tests no matter how nervous I am.
Here is the video I took of him running to momma!
This is a Blog Hop. Thanks to Alfie’s Blog, Snoopy’s Dog Blog , Luna, a Dog’s Life , and My Brown Newfies for setting up this hop. Please go to any of the sponsoring blogs to find out who else has been mischievous.

So funny…I know SlimDoggy Jack would do the same thing – he’s kind of a momma’s boy. But great job Gambler on the retrieve!
Isn’t it great to have a momma’s boy?
OMG JoAnn, that is so sweet!! The funny thing is that he went up to the line with John just fine and actually even seemed excited. But once he saw his Momma. Nothing comes between a pup and his Momma. 😉
Your right, nothing come between us!
Gambler was doing so well…I just know he’s gonna get that Senior title one of these days…he works so nicely
Awe thank you for your nice words. I believe he will get it one day soon too.
Gambler is such a sweet character. Next time I know that the two of you will earn the pass. 🙂
Me too, we are going to do this TOGETHER!
Oh poor thing! He loves you so.
And I love him so.
Hi Y’all!
I’m always staying with my Human unless my Human Papa shows up with the golf cart! Actually, I’m really only happy when I have them both together! (what do you mean we Chessies are supposed to be a one man dog?)
Y’all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog
P.S. You need one of those blinds like the wildlife photographers use. 😉
I was told I should wear a Richard Nixon mask and maybe he wouldn’t see me. LOL
That boy loves his momma! I know it wasn’t *exactly* what he was supposed to do, but that video was so sweet!
He does love me and I love him for it!
Hmmm… maybe you should hide? Poor boy just wanted to be with mama 🙂
Don’t you just love their loyalty! He was so proud of his prize too 🙂
I do love his loyalty, would like him to show me other ways thou. lol
