Monday Mischief~Showoff or showdown

Yesterday’s Black And White Sunday picture was of a Peacock that lives next door to me. You can see the post here. I have to confess, usually I am on top of my photos and I edit them and post them up right away. It’s been dang near a year and I am finally posting up the peacock pictures I took last June. I took the pictures then my computer crashed and I lost the photos, it took me forever to get my puter going and finally was able to save my photos, it then took me forever to edit them. I finally did it all yesterday and I have some beautiful pictures of my neighbors peacocks I would like to share with you.

In the spring the breeding season starts for the peafowl. That means a whole lot of mischief going on between the male peacocks trying to win the hens over.

Much breeding mischief is going on right now between the peafowl. To see these guys with their tails in full plumage and fanned out is the most beautiful thing. I am fortunate to live next to these birds so I can enjoy the beauty in them.

Gamblers hunt test weekend was full of mischief again. He did his marks great, did one land blind great, thought he had the first series in the bag and then he came back from the land blind, sat a ways away from John, tried looking for me and then was a goof ball and wouldn’t go in the water on his water blind. He was not listening to John again so he called him back in and he failed. So he has 3 weeks of training before he has his next test. Little bugger!

I love peacocks, they are just great. Our neighbor has a couple and currently Mr. Peacock is very loud at night, when he cries for love (probably related with Iggy Pop). Good luck for the next test Gambler, this time you will make it, I’m sure. The third time is the charm :o)

Awesome shots – I’m jealous of your proximity to these guys. So cool to see them unfurl those beautiful feathers and strut their stuff.

He is a mischievous little guy isn’t he? Good job on what he did and good luck for next time.
The pictures are beautiful absolutely stunning. Thanks for sharing. Must be amazing living next to that.

So incredibly beautiful! Love those photos!

What would happen if you didn’t go to the hunt test? Would Gambler realize you weren’t there and not bother to look for you? I know Jimmy doesn’t even think about John (his most favorite person!) if I drive away without him. It’s only when John has come to the trial and Jimmy knows it, that I have issues with Jimmy looking for him.

Thank you. I don’t know what would happen if John went by himself. I wonder if he wouldn’t do better. I just feel bad making John go by himself on a 2 hr one way trip and hang out all day by self so I go with. Might have to come up with a different plan.

What gorgeous peacock videos! We had families of them in Florida, just living in the neighborhood. Loved seeing them all plumed out like this. Thank you!

The peacock photos are great! If Gambler fails again and if Bailie fails on July 2, then we should send the two of them to some clown boarding school! Practice, practice and it will all come down to the dog no matter what you do, that is what kills Mom too.

when we lived in California our apartment complex had the roaming around free – breeding season was very noisy but t was worth it to see them strut their stuff
