New UKC Grand Champion

Sand Spring Chesapeakes has another UKC Grand Champion. The first Grand Champion is Gambler owned by me and now the second one is Josey owned by Tom and Irene.

Josey is out of HR U-CH Sand Spring No Gut’s No Glory SH THDN CGCA TT       and        HR CH SRR’s North Point Thunder Bay SH WDQ CGC 2015 litter.

This past weekend we attended the Dodge County Canine Club annual spring UKC show. Josey went into the weekend with 2 legs towards her grand champion title. Tom’s goal was to finish her grand champion this weekend and he did it. Josey took the champion win and best of breed in 3 out of 4 shows. In the champion class when going for your grand champion title you need three already champion dogs in the ring and you need to beat the dogs in the ring for the leg towards your title. I entered momma Glory and sister Guilty to make up the three champions. The judge that awarded Josey her final win was Dean Spielvogel.

Besides becoming a grand champion in the show ring Josey received her Rally Obedience level 2 title, was awarded 30 all star points in Rally 1 and total dog each day.

Josey’s new registered name with all her titles in just 22 months of age is:

U-RO2 U-RATN U-GRCH Sand Spring Outlaw SPOT CGC RATN RN THDN TKI

There are no words as a breeder that I can say to tell you all how proud I am of Tom and Josey. These are much deserved ribbons and titles. Tom and Josey’s dedication has paid off. Tom sets goals for each year and they accomplish them together. He put’s in a lot of time and practice in by attending various classes and it shows. Josey is very versatile in what she can do at such a young age. The next goal for Tom and Josey is to achieve her AKC Junior Hunter title which I have no doubt they will do. Thank you Tom for all that you have done with a Sand Spring pup. I so enjoyed being there with you when you have received some of these titles. Keep up the good work!

We can’t believe she is that old already! Madison will try to creep up on the titles list herself. It’s so fun having young dogs with lots of titles!
