Happy Saturday Everyone!
This past week I got a email from one of Nellie’s puppy buyer’s (Norman’s grandson) from her and Tiny’s 2009 litter. They bought a male puppy and named him Junior. Junior lives in Iowa and is lucky enough to live in a hunting household that also owns a hunt club and he is the designated pick up dog for the hunts. The past two weeks he has been hunting hard and has retrieved 180 snow geese. What a life, every hunting dogs dream.
This is what Junior’s owner says: We shot over 180 birds the last two weeks. He was the only dog in the field. He is so awesome. he had some blind retrieves that blew my mind, over the terrace’s and down the hill, then he would appear with the bird. You guys would be so proud of him!! I swear a couple of the guys fell in love with him. We joked that we should not leave JR and them alone in the same room!!!
Getting emails like this makes me so happy. So glad Junior is living the life and that his owners love him to pieces. This all wouldn’t of happened without Grandpa Norman to start out the family tree.
Now on to Sepia Saturday with our host Ruckus The Eskie.
Norman snow goose hunting in Sepia along with daughter Nellie and granddaughter Pearl.
May You Always Have an Angel by Your Side
May you always have an angel by your side
Watching out for you in all the things you do
Reminding you to keep believing in brighter days
Finding ways for your wishes and dreams to come true
Giving you hope that is as certain as the sun
Giving you the strength of serenity as your guide
May you always have love and comfort and courage
And may you always have an angel by your side
Someone there to catch you if you fall
Encouraging your dreams
Inspiring your happiness
Holding your hand and helping you through it all
In all of our days, our lives are always changing
Tears come along as well as smiles
Along the roads you travel, may the miles be a thousand times more lovely than lonely
May they give you gifts that never, ever end: someone wonderful to love and a dear friend in whom you can confide
May you have rainbows after every storm
May you have hopes to keep you warm
And may you always have an angel by your side
Douglas Pagels

I’m also joining in today The Pet Parade.
Hosted by: Rascal and Rocco, Jan’s Funny Farm, Basil the Bionic Cat, Barking From The Bayou and Love Is Being Owned By A Husky.
Here is what Love Is Being Owned By A Husky (Jenna along with Melissa from Barking From The Bayou are the new co-hosts) says about the hop: So please feel free to link up and party with us!
Parade you fav pet photo’s , stories , ANYTHING you want! The only rule is . . . .
There are no rules!
And that’s the way we like it! Who needs rules at a party anyhow?
BUT it is always a good idea to link back to your hosts, and maybe even give them a follow!
Also, this hop consists mostly of kitties , there are a couple doggies that are involved, but the majority are kitties, so one of the reasons Melissa and are now co hosting is to let you all know that this hop is DOG FURIENDLY as well!
Wow, Junior really is living the life!! How great that he has an active, happy, and loving home. I bet Grandpa Norman is looking down with great pride.
Oh that is so great to hear about Junior!!!! It is nice to hear that pups have great homes doing what they love to do! Beautiful sepia photos as well, and I am so glad you decided to join the hop! Thanks very much! It really is a fun hop! Hope you have a great weekend!
ღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
What an awesome life for Junior. We need a hunter to come to our area and kill off all those Canadian Geese that are starting to invade the area again. They are so awful – mean and poop everywhere, just rotten which makes the fact that they are beautiful no longer matter! Happy hunting.
Thanks so much for hopping on the parade! Now, to show my complete lack of hunting…are those white things that look like geese but are pieces of material decoys? Are some of those geese alive that are by the hunters? Do you eat snow geese? I am once again awe-struck! LOL!!
Way to go Junior. Proud Papa Norman is watching over steering him to the birds no doubt.
Great to read that he is lovin’ life!
So wonderful to hear from them. 🙂 It sure sounds like Junior is loving his job.
Wow that is a lot! Are those a bunch of fake geese on the ground? I assume so because I see some X’s on them and I don’t know why they’d want to hang around hunters. I’m a hunting noob if you couldn’t tell lol.
Junior has it made! He is gorgeous and I’m sure Norman is one proud grandpa!
Great to meet you and thanks for joining in the Pet Parade! So nice to see more doggies joining in. Wow, that is a lot of geese. Sounds like he has one good nose! ~Rascal and Rocco
We are happy to join in and I have a kitty also that steps in to say hi. Nice meeting you also.
Good job Junior. Lucky dog to get so many retrieves! Nice job to you too as the breeder.
I’m making my late rounds to say hi to all on the Saturday Sepia hop! Wait 180 geese? WOW oh wow. And look at those precious moments with Norman. He’s a star on his own!
That’s so awesome JoAnn, I bet you just get the warm fuzzies when you get feedback like this!
