Happy Saturday Everyone!
First off save the date for this coming Tuesday June 10, to hop on over to Mollie & Alfie’s blog and bid on some really cool donated items to help raise money for their pal Mable who passed away after bloating. Her mom Holly was left with a pretty big Veterinary bill that she needs help paying off. When your there you will see that I donated one paracord cat collar and a dog collar and leash so here is your chance to get a custom made paracord collar from me and help out someone in need. It’s great to see the people of Blogville helping out their fellow bloggers.
Last week a gal I worked with for over 5 years said goodbye to us at the clinic. Brenda and I became “besties” while working at the clinic. She knew how much Norman meant to me and she said if I ever needed a babysitter for Norman she would do it, he was her favorite. When she said goodbye to me she gave me a little gift and it will be a gift that I will cherish forever. Thank you Brenda for all the good times working at the clinic and for our adventures out of work. Good luck to you and your new endeavors and may our paths continue to meet.
Today we are attending a graduation party for Mitchell. We met Mitchell when he was only 6 years old. He is the son of the dog trainer we used to train Norman for his senior and master level work. Over the years we watched Mike and Dariel’s two sons grow into fine young men as well as becoming really close with the family. They were out there every day helping out with the dog training. Mitchell was fond of Norman and would run him during training on occasion.
We have a secret, you and I
that no one else shall know,
for who but I can see you lie
each night in fire glow?
And who but I can reach my hand
before we go to bed
and feel the living warmth of you
and touch your silken head?
And only I walk woodland paths
and see ahead of me,
your large form racing with the wind
so young again, and free.
And only I can see you swim
in every pond I pass
and when I call, no one but I
can see the bending grass.
I will forever remember all the great times I had with Norman at Woodland Bay Chesapeakes. Thank you Mitchell for helping make him a better dog than we could of asked for. Hopefully someday I will be able to watch you run a dog of your own.
I am joining Ruckus The Eskie in Sepia Saturday.
Mitchell is the young man sitting behind Norman. It was time for a little Stevie Wonder impersonation after a training day. Norman knew how to be the life of the party. He was always clowning around.

He looks so adorable with his sunglasses! Love it! I am sure someone will be thrilled to win your paracord collars. Mom made one for each of my doggie siblings. They are cute.

Norman makes a great Stevie Wonder impersonator!
What a wonderful gift to receive. It is always sad when a co-worker moves on to something else. We spend a lot of our day with them. Congratulations to the graduate. Love Norman’s shades!
