Happy Saturday All!
Today I will be taking Norman’s son Gambler and Granddaughter Glory to a CGC (Canine Good Citizen) test. Back in the day I took Norman to a CGC test when they were having one at work. I didn’t attend the classes I just went on test day because I had a big head and knew I didn’t need no stinkin classes, that Norman was the best Canine Citizen so I just knew he would pass with flying colors. He did 9 out of 10 tests he needed to pass. The one he failed on was #6 Sit and down on command and Staying in place.
When I put Norman in the sit stay and turned my back from him and walked away he got up and followed me. So he did not pass his CGC but in my mind he was always the best Canine Good Citizen!
How can you sit and stay away from your mom when you have a bond like we did?
My Best Friend
That God sent along.
They always stay beside you,
Whenever things go wrong.I’m glad that God blessed me,
With a good friend such as you.
A person to be there,
A person to get me through.
Never turn away from me,
I can’t bear to be apart.
All the pain and suffering,
Will be too much for my heart.
You are my best friend,
The one that brightens my day.
The one that cheers me up,
The one that’s here to stay.

I agree 100%. why should I sit somewhere when I have to be always on her side? Good luck for the Sandspring Crew today!
Awwww… Good luck today! Tell G & G the down/stay will be SOOO worth it for all the praise they’ll get after. ❤️
Good luck on the tests. I”m pretty sure Glory will pass…Gambler…hmmm…good luck 😉
Goodluck on the tests..and I agree a bit hard to be apart from your besties side ..even if you are supposed too 🙂 hugs Fozziemum
Good luck to you all today! Bailie is aiming for another try on the 27th, but still isn’t able to walk by people without saying hello. Hopefully she will get it, otherwise we will have to wait for August.
Oh good luck guys!!!!
Love those photos! You both look so so happy!
ღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
I hope your crew passes with flying colors! The photo of Norman getting belly rubs is adorable! What a beautiful fellow. ♥
Best of luck to you and Glory and Gambler today. I absolutely love that last picture of you and Norman, and I totally understand the “failure” to stay away from mom. I think there’s nothing sweeter than a dog who wants to be near his or her human.
I saw on Facebook that they both passed….yay!! All that matters is what Norman was to you…the best!!
Hi Y’all!
All I have to say is first, congratulations on your “kids” passin’ their tests. Norman was one special and handsome guy. Love the photos of y’all together. We all need one loving nonjudgmental friend, and y’all found each other.
Y’all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog
Hope all went well today and keeping fingers crossed that it was Gambler’s day!!!! Love the pictures of Norman. He was such a handsome guy!
Great pics of Norman. Unfortunately, not sure if you are aware but one of the photos didn’t show up.
Happy Sepia Saturday!
Good luck on the tests … may they both pass with flying colors. I love the pictures and the poem is just wonderful … thanks for sharing it 🙂

Our dogs have trouble with the exact same things Norman had trouble with. But we did do classes with Thunder and Storm and thank goodness they passed. Freighter well, have to work on him. Sorry I did not have a chance to wish you good luck on your test ahead of time but I guess you didn’t need it. 🙂
Love that poem and those beautiful photos 🙂
There are parts of that test that I know Sampson wouldn’t pass and I’m not even going to try. Like you I believe Sampson is the best dog, and I don’t need a paper to tell me that. 🙂
