Nothing But Norman #65

Happy Saturday All!

Project16 - Copy - Copy - Copy

This is our first Saturday home since our Saskatchewan snow goose hunt. Norman traveled to Saskatchewan with us. Before we went I reloaded Norman’s remains into the spent shotgun shells that we used to hunt with his last time in Saskatchewan. On Monday after we were done hunting I set up the video camera and we had our final send off of Norman’s remains. The gang Mike, Jim, John and I along with the dogs put Norman back in to the land where he loved to be. His spirit will now forever be in Saskatchewan. I hope to edit the video and have it up the first Saturday in November which will be right after the one year mark of his passing.

I did take a couple of pictures of Norman’s remains by his son Gambler when we were out hunting. Norman was passing on all his secrets to Gambler.

Norman resting by his goose decoy he used to hunt by.

25 rounds of Norman.

Thanks dad for all your great advice.

Peace be with you dad, see you next year when I come back to hunt again.

oh boy that was touching, I cried while reading but I second Gamblers wishes for his dad. And I’m sure Norman will wait for you there and he will be with you next year.

Don’t understand why my Human loves to read your posts about Norman, but she never misses one. This one made her cry.

How wonderful that you were able to take Norman with you, and that his spirit will now be there every time you visit. It’s such a cool thing you did for him, and I look forward to the video.

Oh my gosh! How very sad, but beautiful! Seriously what a great idea. Laying him to rest in the surroundings of what he knew and loved!
