Happy Saturday All!
This is our first Saturday home since our Saskatchewan snow goose hunt. Norman traveled to Saskatchewan with us. Before we went I reloaded Norman’s remains into the spent shotgun shells that we used to hunt with his last time in Saskatchewan. On Monday after we were done hunting I set up the video camera and we had our final send off of Norman’s remains. The gang Mike, Jim, John and I along with the dogs put Norman back in to the land where he loved to be. His spirit will now forever be in Saskatchewan. I hope to edit the video and have it up the first Saturday in November which will be right after the one year mark of his passing.
I did take a couple of pictures of Norman’s remains by his son Gambler when we were out hunting. Norman was passing on all his secrets to Gambler.

Oh, JoAnn. At least I have tissues handy.
oh boy that was touching, I cried while reading but I second Gamblers wishes for his dad. And I’m sure Norman will wait for you there and he will be with you next year.

Such a touching send off – right where he loved to be. So bittersweet, it brought tears to my eyes.
So touching, but so sad. Still think it is the most creative idea ever, though, for a hunting dog.
Our eyes are leaking Buckets…. Love the pics of Norman with the Camo Cover…
What a Sad yet GRAND post this is…
Dang it! I am already crying like a big baby. How will I ever make it through the video? What an amazing way to honor Norman. ♥

How wonderful that you were able to take Norman with you, and that his spirit will now be there every time you visit. It’s such a cool thing you did for him, and I look forward to the video.
Oh my gosh! How very sad, but beautiful! Seriously what a great idea. Laying him to rest in the surroundings of what he knew and loved!
Hugs, Carrie and Pups x
What a great send off for Norman. So sad that he is gone, but he was so lucky to have you and John for parents.
