Happy Saturday everyone!
Live Like Your’re Dying!
5 years ago John was diagnosed with kidney cancer, he had half of his right kidney removed. When he was recovering all I could think about was Tim McGraw’s song Live Like Your Dying and that was John’s song. Now John is cancer free and this song is for Norman.
John got to spend a little time with Norman too. Norman thought he should go visiting and see what John and Glory were up to.
This is what I wrote about my hunt with Norman on this weeks This ‘N That Thursday.
Norman had a ton of fun, it was so good to have him laying by my side out in the field hunting. When the birds started to fly over, he perked his ears up and sat so still and watched the birds come in, it was such a surreal moment, I shed a tear for my best friend. He was living life in the moment which will be etched in my mind forever. He made some retrieves and was in his glory doing so, I had to scream at him as he can’t hear much anymore but all in all it was a fabulous morning.

that was such a marvelous post (((((hugs))))))
I almost didn’t watch it because I new I would cry, but I’m glad I did – it was a wonderful touching tribute to a dog well-loved. I love the picture of you and him in the field together – what a bond. Stay strong, he has many moments like that left I hope.
I am so happy every time I see these pics of Norman. He is everything I can think of when I picture a chessie… heart, love, drive, companionship, and that glorious brown dogness. Love.
Norman, you are so pawesome! Wooooowoooooooo!
I loved this video of sweet Norman. I never heard that song before, it’s a tearjerker for sure. Glad to hear John is five years out and cancer free!
The video was wonderful. I loved it (and I am not a country music fan,,,lol.).
Wishing continued good health for your hubby.
Good for John!! That is great news. I hope you have a lot of time left with Norman. I love me some Tim McGraw. :-0
