2024

Home from the American Chesapeake Club National Show Specialty after 1700 miles round trip.

Young Kai is all legs and very light on coat but he did some things! He took 4th in his 12-15 mo Sweeps class, and in the afternoon was a good boy for the judge( a win, believe me).

He also qualified in his Rally Novice leg and his RN title is pending AKC. He passed both his CGC (Canine Good Citizen) and his TKN(Trick Dog Novice).

This was his longest road trip, first hotel room and some long days at the show. He did really well.

Well the summer of 2024 hunt test season has come to an end. Bulleit earned his 4th AKC Senior pass today at the Manitowoc WI hunt test for a senior title. This summer Bulleit has earned an AKC Junior and Senior titles, an HRC Season title and finally his AKC Champion. What a summer we have had! He is so awesome and I am so proud of him.

Congrats Rob and Bulleit.

July 6 – Squeeking in under the wire, at his last show in Hutchinson, Kai made his AKC “Puppy of Achievement”. He is doing really well, for a young one. Farm Dog, Fetch Novice, 2 legs towards Rally Novice, and a few points in the show ring.

Need to get some competition to come on down to Kansas. Topeka is in August the week before Nationals in Ohio.

June 16 – Gaia passed her first two AKC junior tests with Fairbanks Retriever Club this weekend at 11 months old! She wasn’t perfect and she wasn’t perfectly behaved. She is eager to do the work, hard charging, marked her birds, and delivered to hand. We know what to work on next!

June 9 – Weekend in Hutchinson ended well. Kai took BOW in Sunday for 2 pts, under Judge Gloria Kerr.

Happy Dance! Rally went well enough for his first 2 legs( only entered 2 days)in RallyB.

Great Judge panel. Always a nice compact show with an easy transition from Conformation to Rally.

June 2 – Slammer and Dicca 2023

Thank you to the Wisconsin Amateur Field Trial Club for putting on a nice Junior Test. Bulleit titled today so it’s on to Seniors! Eska Creek Chesapeakes, Sand Spring Chesapeakes.

Congrats Ron and Bulleit!!

Kai is resting up after a long weekend at the “Giddy Up N Go Cluster” in Lawrence, KS. We qualified for FETCH Novice(pending AKC) and in a small Conformation ring he was so good for me. BOW 2 days, and OH all days(always check the box, you never know).

Great job by both the greater Emporia Kennel Club and the Jesse James Kennel Club! And to the FETCH Crew, Thank you for spending your weekend letting us test for you!

Kai and I spent 5 days doing the Heart of America Cluster in KC.

March 10 – Sweeps Wednesday, he got his first real point on Thursday. It was a lot to learn, from 3 hour car rides to new dogs, breeds, lots of friendly people, even some little people. He did great for 8 months and a big show.
