Today Preacher will be reviewing Outward Hound Kibble Drop Puzzle Dog Toy. Preacher is 6 months old, she eats her meals very fast and like all young adults she has a attention span of a gnat and needs some mental stimulation.
What is Outward House Kibble Drop you ask?
The Kibble Drop is a treat-seeking puzzle for your smarty pup! When treats are dropped into the top of the toy, they fall randomly into one of the four treat chambers covered by flaps. Your dog must determine which chamber the treat has fallen into and which flap to lift in order to retrieve the treat. Scent holes on the chambers assist in your pup’s search for the reward! Every dog’s a winner with the Kibble Drop! Bring out the genius in your dog with this interactive, treat-seeking puzzle and exercise toy.
The kibble drop was easy to fill, just pour the kibble is in the big hole in the top. Preacher thought she should be supervising this job to make sure all the kibbles went in the hole so she could work for her meal, no free dropped kibbles for her. Once it was filled I placed it on a hard surface for her to figure out. Once she figured it out then I put it on her bed and she continued to eat her meal.It didn’t take Preacher long to “suck” the kibbles up from the little holes. The blue lid’s do lift up allowing more kibbles to be eaten at once but she thought it was fun to lick the little holes and “suck” up the kibbles. After a bit she did use her nose and figured out how to lift up the lid. If she lifted the lid high enough it would stay up and she could eat away without any thinking. Key Benefits
- Interactive, treat-seeking doggy fun
- Keeps your pup playing longer
- 4 treat chambers
- Multiple scent guides
- 4 treat-hiding flaps
- Made with durable food-safe plastic
- BPA, PVC, & phthalate free
Preacher gives this toy 4 paws up. I was skeptical about this toy being able to withstand a puppy who likes her meals now and I was surprised at how it kept Preacher busy and she never got upset or grabbed it with her mouth to pick it up. She never pawed at it she laid down or stood and keep plugging away at sucking up the kibbles until they were all gone. It would of been well worth the price if I had to buy it which at Chewy.com right now it is on sale for $7.99.

I was compensated (1) Outward Hound Kibble Drop Puzzle Dog Toy for a honest review from Chewy.com.
Thanks to our hosts Golden Woofs and Oz The Terrier for hosting this blog hop.
Puzzle toy for the little one. Perfect. Bailie did a lot with puzzle toys as a real young pup. Looks like Preacher enjoys it.
Hopefully Preacher will still be interested as a older dog as she needs stuff to keep her mind busy.
Bravo Preacher, you are a smart girl and you discovered the secret of endless treats immediately :o) I like that kind of toys, but I always start to eat the toy instead the treats after a while :o)
Yea I could see Gambler eating the toy that is why he has no contact with it.
I love this toy! It seems like it would work great for dogs who are fast eaters!
ღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
Excellent review. I bet my cats would like that puzzle.
I think your cats would love it and be able to figure it out too. Thanks for stopping by.
Smart pup! And way more graceful than my two, who prefer bashing these toys until treats come out.
We have this toy also. I am planning on letting the boys have a try at it later today. Preacher is so funny licking his food through the hole! LOL!
I was thinking to get this fro Sugar. I was not sure if the opening is big enough. FUN!!! Golden Woofs
My puppy tried the Kibble Drop Puzzle and absolutely loved it. I worried she wouldn’t be able to open the flaps to get the kibble, but she figured it out and wants to eat all of her meals from the toy.
That is great that she figured it out and funny that she wants to eat all her meals that way.
I have this same toy and love it!!! Wonderful review!!! 🙂
It’s nice to here a adult big dog using this. I didn’t want to try it with mine as I thought they would destroy it. Thanks for stopping by.
If Preacher takes after daddy, you will never be able to find toys to stump her because she will figure them all out very quickly.
Clearly Preacher is a whole LOT smarter than Sam. He’d get discouraged and walk away, then give me longing looks like he was totally starving and needed upright intervention to save him.
We just received ours today! I can’t wait to give it a try. I mostly want it to occupy Luke, but I’d like to try it with the girls as well, though I suspect Sheba will just try to pick the whole thing up!
That last photo of Preacher with the tongue hanging out is priceless. Neither Harley nor Jax seem to have much interest in treat toys. Harley walks away while Jax takes out his frustrations on the toy! LOL #gofigure
Based on all the reviews of this toy, I’d say it was a big hit, albeit rather easy to beat 🙂
