Pheasant hunting has been going on for the past few weeks now. I’ve been out a number of times some days I’ve had success and others it’s been just a nice day out in the field. Here are the photos of my hunts.
Guilty is yet to find her own pheasant. She runs along with the gang but hasn’t gotten the swing of things yet. John will take her by herself so she can get one but they never come across one. Yesterday I went hunting and took Guilty first to a spot I always get one or two. Guilty just stayed on the trail, she got off the trail a couple of times thinking she smelled something but it turned out to be nothing. I then went back to the truck and got Gambler and Glory. We walked the same path I just walked with Guilty and Gambler flushed up a pheasant. It was a wee bit far and I missed it :(. It turned out to be a beautiful day out in the field with the dogs despite no meat to bring home.
A day out in the field with your dog is always a good day.
I agree a day with the pups outside is sure a good day… you can eat ben&jerry’s instead, their pumpkin ice cream is super tasty :o)

We love to hear them, even though we can’t see them. They make cool sounds.
It looks like you’ve had some nice days to get out there. Great photos! I saw a flock of pheasants on the side of the road on my way to work the other morning. I think they stock them in that area.
