Last weekend Nellie’s Daughter Pearl came for a visit. Pearl is out of the first litter I had with Nellie. She will be turning 8 on Christmas. She is a hunting dog, has competed in some hunt tests, has her AKC JH title. She was full of energy out in the field since she didn’t get to go to Saskatchewan with us this past fall since her master was getting a new pig valve in his heart. Her master got the all clear that he could exercise and shoot a gun so we hit the fields to look for some pheasants.
Since deer hunting season was going on the dogs all had to wear their orange vests while out hunting. Gambler, Glory, Preacher got to go along with Pearl. They ran, sniffed, played but didn’t stir up any pheasants. It was a fun exercised filled day.
The fun and games continue every Friday with FitDog Friday, the weekly Blog Hop brought to you by To Dog With Love, SlimDoggy and Emma from Mygbgvlife to promote a healthy active lifestyle for pets (and their people, too!). Join in every Friday by linking up your FitDog story or visiting the blogs in the Hop.
Nellie must have been happy to have her family around!
Looks like a great day for all!
What a fun time had!
Looks like a lot of good fun out in nature!
You can certainly tell that they are in their element. Their a good-looking group of hunters. ☺
Looks like you picked the perfect fall day for your pheasant hunt/exercise 🙂 And the orange colors really make everything pop!
It looks like everyone had a great time and also got quite a workout! It’s fun to see some snow photos.
Fabulous photos!
