Our small pond finally opened up after some freezing cold weather this past winter. Last week we took a walk down to the pond just to see if it was open and low and behold it was open. Of course Glory had to be the first one to jump in then the others followed.
The gang only spend 30 minutes down at the pond, most of it was running around the pond and only a small amount of time swimming. The water hasn’t had a chance to warm up yet so I didn’t let them swim as long as they would of liked to. You can be sure there will be more trips to the pond and longer time spend swimming to get the gang in shape this spring.

Water babies!
I better watch you from my bed… that’s cold&wet :o) Do you need a hair dryer or is the sun and the wind enough to dry your fur?
Our ponds are not open yet. You pups are lucky. Love the pictures!
Great pictures, we can sure tell that they are all lovin the pond! Swimming is really good exercise for them and that will for sure help get them in shape for summer training. Have fun gang!
What fun they had too by those faces ..the boys had a blast at our reservoir but it will be too cold soon as we approach our cold season..they still love a swim in the cold though but I am a funnard and won’t let them 🙂 great pics 🙂 loves Fozziemum xx
You crazy pups!! That water is freezing!!! BOL!
ღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
Nothing as invigorating as a swim in some freezing water! Good thing they have those heavy coats.
How pawsome that you have your own pond! Our girl Missy would have wanted to jump right in as well ~ she doesn’t have an insulating undercoat though, so the water would have been too cold for her. Your pack must have been in Chesapeake Retriever Water Heaven 🙂
You guys are so lucky! We wanted to go in the pond last weekend, but Mom wouldn’t let us. Looks like a fun workout!
You can see just how happy they are to get back into the water again. Love seeing the pups do what they do best.
You both look so happy! Hope the waters not too cold.
Look at that splash!
Woofs from Earl, Ethel and I at Earl’s World!
Glad that it’s warmed up enough that your pond is swimmable again 🙂 We’re enjoying places we haven’t been able to visit for a while either!
Awww! They look so incredibly happy to be back in their pond!
At least they got that first dive of the season in! I love that first big splash by Glory. It looks like they had a great time….Sheba and Luke are jealous!
Oh fun! We found a new (to us) creek here last week and Rocco loved jumping in! Hope it warms up soon!
Yah for swimming again!! That’s what Mica said this week when pond below falls was no longer frozen after several months:)
My brother has a Chessie and I love watching him run and jump in the creek behind their house. Nothing quite like hat first dip! Me, I’ll be staying on the shore for a while till it warms up…a lot. 🙂
