Day 2 was Monday September 26, 2016. The weather this day was nice. The hunt was all about Preacher and Gambler on the camera. Gambler of course because he hunted next to me and Preacher because it was her day to hunt with Mike and she had a great day making many retrieves. As long as the geese fell where she could see them she was on them like white on rice and she retrieved them.

The highlight was watching Preacher go after her first cripple goose. It was an Canadian goose so it was pretty big and she didn’t quite know what to think of it but that she better keep up with it or she wasn’t getting it. She did a awesome job chasing it, catching up to it and then she needed Mike to come to the rescue and carry it back to the blind as it was still alive and she wasn’t quite sure of holding on to it for an extended period of time. She is young and inexperienced and this will all come with more exposure. She sure had a blast!
Our total for today was: 7 Canadian, 8 snows, 1 ross for a total of 16.
She is a super talented hunting companion… no wonder she learnt from the best :O)

I don’t know, the size of that bird didn’t seem to deter her too much. She sure doesn’t seem to be short on enthusiasm!
