Seresto is a flea and tick preventive that is in a collar form, it works for 8 months as an prevention and treatment of ticks, fleas and lice on dogs and puppies 7 weeks of age and older.

It repels and kills ticks including Deer ticks, American dog ticks, Brown dog ticks and Lone Star ticks. It prevents tick infestations within 48 hours after application. Re-infesting ticks are repelled and/or killed as quickly as 6 hours. Kills fleas on dogs within 24 hrs. Re-infesting fleas are killed within 2 hours. It kills chewing lice. Instructions:

Use only one collar per animal. Fit collar around your pet’s neck, allowing for 2 fingers to fit between the collar and your pet’s neck to ensure a comfortable, yet snug, fit. Once collar is properly fitted, cut off any excess collar measuring 1″ or longer. The collar should be worn continuously for the 8 month protection period. Check periodically and adjust fit if necessary, especially when puppies are rapidly growing. Keep the collar in the bag and in the outer packaging until use. Replace the collar after 8 months for optimal tick and flea protection.

Water Resistance: It is unnecessary to remove the collar before immersing your pet in water. Seresto remains effective following a shampoo treatment, swimming or exposure to rain or sunlight. In order to maintain an 8 month duration, pets must not be bathed more than once a month. For pets that swim once a month or more, the control duration is reduced to five months for fleas and seven months for ticks. ~Chewy

The collar was very easy to apply, remove collar from plastic wrapping, unroll and make sure that there are no remnants from the plastic connectors inside the collar, insert the collar into the buckles and tighten, tighten enough so you can fit 2 fingers between your dogs collar and neck.

This collar fit Glory perfect, if there is excess collar sticking out once you tighten it to your liking you can cut the excess off.

The collar comes with 3 reflective clips that you can attach to the collar, this will help you see your dog at night when outside. The collar is designed with a release mechanism. If your dog gets trapped by the collar the strength of your dog is enough to widen the collar to get your dog out of any situation that involves the collar being hung up.

This product is great for those people who don’t want to use a topical or oral flea and tick medication. We will be leaving next week on a bird hunting trip and when we get back hunting season will be in effect here in Wisconsin.
