So, You Wanna Buy A Puppy?!
Overview
Ever since I first teared up at the end of a screening of “Old Yeller”, I realized how special dogs are and how much I wanted one in my life.
This little book – my small way of giving back – is about little more, but no less than the simple, soul-soothing joys, and fact-of-life realities of living with and learning from man’s best friend.

A great light read for all ages. The author does a wonderful job speaking the truth about life, death and kids growing up with a beloved pet. I will be putting this book in my therapy bag to take with along with my dogs to therapy visits. The illustrations are fabulous, only thing missing is a Chesapeake ;).
Jack Hirt is a friend of mine that I met long ago when we sent Norman to a trainer for hunt tests. Jack’s dog Tanner was there as well. We became really good friends with Jack and the trainer Mike along with his wife Dariel and children Lucas and Mitchell. Many years were sitting around talking dog talk, hunting talk and just life in general talk. Jack is a writer for various hunting magazines as he has traveled the world hunting waterfowl and still does today. He has written one previous book ‘S No Geese Like Snow Geese.
You can find his books at Barnes and Noble as well as Amazon.
Oh I agree that’s a very good book for all who dream about a fourlegged friends… and I hope the readers will understand what it means to “own” a dog :O)

That looks like such a sweet book. I might have to get that for my grandsons for Christmas. Just added it to my Amazon wishlist so I don’t forget!
