You all know I work at Harmony Pet Care, ok maybe you all don’t know but now you should. At Harmony Pet Care we have a full service doggie spa, ok a groomer named Brenda who does dog and cat grooming. I booked Glory for a spa day as she had a big event planned for the weekend. I entered Glory in OUR FIRST AKC (American Kennel Club) conformation show. I showed Glory in UKC (United Kennel Club) conformation last fall but never showed any dogs of mine in AKC so this was a first for both of us. I thought that deserved some pampering from Brenda.
Here is how the pampering played out:
Getting wet.
Shampoo time with pretty smelling shampoo, plus grim cutter.

Force air dryer. To get water off and loose hair off.

Ear cleaning time.
Forced air on the grooming table to get the rest of the water off.
The dry cycle.
Trimming up the long hairs on what were my dewclaw area.
Nail trim with the dremel.
All pretty.
Glory had a great day at the spa, she was so fluffy and smelled so good she should do well at her show.
Looks like she enjoyed her time there and looks very pretty. You are brave. We never bathe our dogs before a show. A spritz with some water and that is about it. 🙂

Thank you, I was being brave, I just knew she was so dirty from Gambler always stomping her in the mud I had to have the groomer bathe her as I don’t get her that clean. The water was black coming off her. She looked so darn nice afterwards and smelled wonderful. Thanks for the good luck (we had great luck on Saturday), I was late posting up this post as the show was this past weekend, tomorrow I will post how she did for all to read.
She was very good and patient. Mica and Lexie get groomed I can’t handle all that hair but I’ve never seen the steps. She looked really pretty and I can’t wait to see how she did at the show 🙂
