Swift Paws ~ Precision Coursing

After over 5 years in the industry, SwiftPaws is proud to introduce their new backyard version that is a professional, easy to use, safe lure coursing machine that can be setup in any backyard or even indoors. ~SwiftPaws

We were introduced to SwiftPaws ~ Precision Coursing at the UKC Premier that we attended this past June. They were set up in a big field with dogs running one right after the other so of course Josey and Rizzo had to give it a try.

Josey was first.

Josey has her UKC CA (Coursing Ability) title so we knew Josey would have no problem chasing this lure. The course is about 200 yrs long with a maze like course that they have to follow inside a fenced in area. Josey’s best time was 7.51 seconds. When 3 runs are completed you earn a SwiftPaws title. Right now it is a unrecognizable title but I’m sure that won’t be for long.

Next up was Rizzo. This was great for Rizzo, it was something that he could do while attending the UKC Premier with us. He isn’t registered so he can’t run the regular events going on so this was just what he needed. He was all in with the lure took off.

This was Rizzo’s first unofficial title.

SwiftPaws is designed for the home owners, they can buy the equipment and set up a course in their backyard or even indoors if they would like. It’s designed to give your pooch exercise.

We watched some lure coursing at the barn hunt trial. It looks like fun, but since the area was not fenced, we could not be trusted to try it out.

They recently had one of these here and it was the first I’d ever heard of it. Pierre would be awesome at this. He needs to lose a little weight first. LOL!

Great job by all! I might have to look into this for Luke, I think he might enjoy it, and I love that we could do it at home.
