Nellie turned 9 years old yesterday. We had a party and made treats to share with everyone on Tasty Tuesday.
First Nellie sang along to her Happy Birthday song.
Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to me now give me a tasty treat.
Tasty Tuesday Birthday party first treat is frozen strawberry yogurt granola cup.
Strawberry yogurt, granola, cups and dog treats.
Put some yogurt in a cup.
Add granola.
Put some more yogurt on top and add a dog biscuit.
Freeze.
Take out of cup before giving to dogs.

Gambler ate his down and then stole from others.
Glory took hers away from the others.
Next was the Birthday cake. I got this recipe from Misty Shores Chesapeakes when she made it for one of her dogs. It is super easy and the dogs love it.
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 cup corn oil
4 oz. jar baby food, meat, beef, chicken, lamb (I used chicken and rice)
4 eggs
2 Tablespoons real bacon bits
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease and flour an 8x5x3 inch loaf pan. Mix first five ingredients together until smooth. Add bacon bits and mix.
Ready to go in the oven.
Finished product.
When am I going to get my cake?
I guess after pictures I get my cake.
How about I sneak a little taste?
Yummy!
Nellie, you have a little cake on your face.
Let me get that, can’t waist any of that yummy cake.

I usually just go out and buy a bag of cookies or Frosty Paws for birthdays. (Sometimes I don’t even do that…lol.) Freighter’s birthday is coming up next month, I suppose I will have to make an effort. 🙂
