A Facebook friend captioned this photo The Sentinel. I didn’t think of it that way until I asked another friend why that person would say that. She told me what it meant and the title sure fit. Norman is my protector, I feel safe with him near me. He is always laying my be whether we are hunting in the field or just laying on the couch. He is always by my side keeping guard over me. Mostly guarding me from the other dogs so they don’t get to close to me. He also will lay on the bottom of our bed with his head on my feet all night. I put all my faith in this furry friend that he will keep me safe. Thank you Norman for being my guardian. When he lays guard over me is seeing beautiful.

That is a wonderful post. Sounds like the caption fits. 🙂
I love the photo and this post!! You’re right… it’s a beautiful feeling to feel safe and secure around our dogs. What’s funny is they’re feeling the same thing… the safety and security of being right by our side.
Happy Seeing Beautiful!
You gave my mommy goose bumps. Now that I think about it, that’s kind of funny when you look at the picture; but in this case her goose bumps were See Beautiful goose bumps because of the lovely picture and the beautiful things you said about Norma. Such a special relationship.
Very interesting idea, that our dogs are standing guard. I know when my husband travels on business it is very comforting to have our dog there all night.
