Today we are joining 2 Brown Dawgs for their This ‘N That Thursday’s blog hop!
This is what she has to say about the hop,
A little of this and a little of that and everything in between…
“This ‘N That Thursday is for anything you want! Maybe you want to post about unrelated topics, or each topic isn’t quite long enough to make up a whole post, or you have awards to share, or you have one long post…anything goes! So grab the button and join the hop!”
To the show, to the show we go….to home to home we go.
This past weekend started a 3 week run of conformation dog shows for Glory and I. This weekend was hosted by the Kenosha Kennel Club, it was a unbenched all breed show. Saturday was the American Chesapeake Supported show at the Kenosha Kennel Club. This is an annual event that I have never been to. I am so glad I went, Glory and I had a lot of fun, learned some stuff, talked with some really nice chessie people and saw some really beautiful dogs. We stayed in a hotel room with 2 male chessies so I was concerned how that would go having 3 intact dogs in one room. It turned out very well and by the end of the weekend Glory had a new boyfriend that couldn’t take his eyes off her when she was in the ring.
We entered Amateur owner handler class where there was one other bitch in that class. Both days Glory took second. On Sunday she paced again while we trotted around the ring so the judge asked me a couple times to try and start over and get her to not pace. Something to work on for this weekends show.
Here are some photo’s of Glory and I from Sunday.
Glory says there is something more interesting over there.
Stand pretty for the nice judge.
Glory’s boyfriend Waylon in awe of Glory in the ring. See that big boy being held by the lady in the blue top who can’t keep his eyes off Glory? The lady in the black stripes is his mom Dana and my friend whom I roomed with. This picture is Glory pacing.
Around the ring.
The judge being so nice and telling me she paced and how to get her to stop that.
Clayton on the left and brother Aries on the right.
The BOB dog for Saturday and Sunday with group placements. Saturday he took 3rd, Sunday he took Group 1 and reserve BIS. What a dog and a great weekend for him. He is: CH Albridens The Show Must GO On “Aries”. Bred by Stephanie Larson
The line up of chessies in the breed ring. What a great bunch of good looking chessies.

Oh what fun! It’s so cool to see all those handsome brown dogs standing all smart and good-looking. I really need to order my calendar.
I’m waiting for payday and then I will order my calendars.
Thanks so much for participating in TNT! Those supported entries can be tough competition. That is what we have this weekend so I doubt Freighter will do much. Don’t you hate when they pace? Glory looks great. Her coat is very nice. Once you get the movement down, she should do great.
When Jim was learning to show Thunder, he took a class at the local obedience club that was for learning how to show a dog. The teacher worked with them over a few weeks giving different tips on how to move Thunder so he wouldn’t pace and would move at the right speed. Unfortunately she passed away unexpectedly. But hubby credits her for helping to get Thunder his CH, along with Storm’s breeder who was also very very helpful. 🙂
MK is darn cute!
GOOD LUCK this weekend! Will be thinking of you!
You too! Best of luck back at you!
That Ares is a stunning dog…so handsome…Glory is just warming up and she’s gonna hit her stride any week now and bring home the ribbons
He is the #1 chessie right now. He is going places!
