My neighbor has these beautiful birds. Each spring the male struts his stuff and fans his tail to call in the little ladies. Last year when my friend was here from North Carolina she saw him fan his tail in the barn doors and she was mad she didn’t have her camera. I told her he does it all the time before she leaves he will do it again. I was so wrong, he never did it again so it is my goal to get him with a full fan when both barn doors are open.

I just love Shovler’s color in the spring. Did you know that they are not this colorful in the fall. You only see these vibrant colors in the spring.

On our walk to clean the wood duck houses in our marsh (blog for another day) Glory found this plastic bottle and helped us out by carrying it back to the house with us after she played it to death in the marsh. Good girl Glory on keeping the property clean.
