Thursday Barks And Bytes~A New Year 2015

Today starts a New Year, 2015 will hopefully be filled with many joyous moments and adventures for you all to follow -*along with.

Today’s Barks and Bytes is filled with some odd’s and end’s I need to finish up on.

First off I need to give a shout out to Caren over at Dakota’s Den she did a book review and had a giveaway for Kari Neumeyer’s book Bark and Lunge. I won the book and am excited to sit down and read it in the new year.

Being a technician and having to consult clients on behavioral problems with their dogs I think this will give me some incite to better help our clients.

While we are talking about Caren her cat Cody was really sick this weekend and had to go to the vet, he is on the mend but still needs prayers that his bloodwork goes back to normal and he keeps eating. Hugs to Cody and Caren you can send some well wishes to Cody at his blog Cat Chat With Caren And Cody by clicking here.

On January 10th 2015 I will be doing my very first Pet Bloggers Challenge. Stop back on Saturday the 1oth to read the answers to this years questions. It is a blog hop so come on and join in the fun.

Here are the after math photos from the SS New Year’s eve bash.

Gambler the life of the party.

Can I get anyone a beverage?

ok so maybe Gambler got into the hooch. He wasn’t driving so it was ok.

More MK’s Happy New Year photos.

Yesterday you got to see my 2014 WordPress year in review, if you missed it you can see it here. I want to take a moment to highlight some stats.

The busiest day of the year was Feb 6, 2014 it so happened to be Barks And Bytes day. You can see the post here. This day Gambler got to announce his date for the Queen Of Hearts dance. This was a fun blogville event we did. In this post I also shared MK’s hernia repair surgery.

I was really surprised to see that this was the most viewed post. MK is still going strong and she hasn’t had any issues since this surgery.

My goal for 2014 was to blog everyday. I made that goal with 384 new posts. I had a lot to say I guess. It brought my posts up to 902. I will for sure hit 1000 in 2015. Something to look forward too. My best day was Monday with 64 posts. I love doing blog hops and Monday as you know is Mischief Monday’s blog hop day so it’s no wonder that day had the most posts as with Mischief Gambler we always have something to write about. Let’s see if turning 4 in 2015 the mischief will die down.

These are the posts that got the most views in 2014. You can see all of the year’s most-viewed posts in your Site Stats.

Scoop That Poop got the most views partly because of my fecal chart I posted on it.

The nice folks over at We Live In A Flat  used my blog post as a reference in their poop post. Thank you Donna’s peeps.

Your most commented on post in 2014 was Gambler’s 3rd Birthday With A Giveaway. Let’s see if we can beat that in May for Gamblers 4th Birthday.

These were your 5 most active commenters:

Thank you so much for all the great comments left on my blog. Even know I didn’t get to respond to each and everyone of them this year I read everyone and each comment meant the world to me. I am going to try harder to find the time to comment more this coming year.

Thank you for making this blog happen!

Well, that is cool my furry but squeezed into the top 5 commenters! I considered not commenting today, but I need to uphold my reputation now 😉 Happy New Year!

Oh my!!!!!! I have tears in my eyes!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU for the shout out for my boy!!! That was BEYOND kind of you and we are deeply appreciative! The good news, Cody is eating on his own without the appetite stimulant and is eating pretty normally….he is supposed to have a complete blood panel done Monday (weather permitting), I won’t drag him in if the weather is too bad. Also, on his preliminary “non-fasting” blood draw his calcium number had dropped a bit, which is ALSO good! Praying that his hypercalcemia is idiopathic which the vet says is the #1 cause of hypercalcemia in cats…..or…that it is something treatable. THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOO MUCH AGAIN! We love you and deeply appreciate you! HAPPY HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Caren, Cody and Dakota

We just can’t be surprised to see that Gambler was the life of the new year’s party! I think you will enjoy Bark & Lunge, I really did. We’ve also been thinking of Cody and hope he is feeling better soon. I’m also looking forward to the pet blogger challenge!
