Thursday Barks And Bytes~If My Head Wasn’t Attached

If My Head Wasn’t Attached………….

It Would Fall Off………….

The Barks:

I uploaded this picture to add to my Monday Mischief post about Glory winning at the hunt test and I forgot to add it……DUH!

Here is Glory with her ribbon I took at the hunt test.

For those of you who would like to see a hunt test, here is a video of Glory running in two AKC Senior level tests. I put both hunt tests together in one video so it is a long one. She did fail each of these tests as she didn’t complete her water blind but it will give you a jist of what goes on and what is expected of her, which is retrieve 2 marks and run a blind with a honor.

Here is a video of Gambler running his second AKC Master level test. He also failed this test due to a water blind. You will see he had three marks go off that he had to go and retrieve and two blinds, one on land and one in the water.

So here are the MK photo bomb bloopers.

Nellie of course was being a wienie and didn’t want to be in the pictures….

The Bytes:

MK has been going outside a lot this summer. She sneaks out whenever she can. The other night she was outside and John picked her up and she started to bite him so he tossed her in the gang’s baby pool. She didn’t think much of that, then she was stuck outside during the thunderstorm, when I opened up the door she came shooting in like a rocket. Today I went outside to gather her up before I left for training and this is what I found:

It’s really hard to see but that little gray thing by her foot is a vole she caught. Mind you MK is 4 pawed declawed and it doesn’t affect her huntress abilities.

wpid-1379718718851 Just a reminder if you would like a chance to win a handmade paracord dog or cat collar visit my Nothing But Norman’s 50 post here and leave me a comment that you would like to be in the giveaway. Will be drawing Friday pm and will announce the winner on post 51 of Nothing But Norman on Saturday.

Stop back tomorrow to see the final 4th of July photos and see what backyard games the gang is doing for #k9kamp on FitDog Friday.

what was that at 1:30 in Gamblers video as he turned his head? a shot? Congrats to your wonderful ribbon Glory! Sometimes I think MK is a dog too :o) and she is probably a hunting dog/cat, a vole is a tasty prey :O)

  2. Will and Eko

Thanks for sharing those videos, so cool to see those two in action. Really impressive the level of expected communication between human and dog is at these trials.

Mom’s first cat climbed trees, killed birds, pheasants, rabbits, you name it, chased dogs out of the yard and did it all without claws! Happy Fourth of July weekend, hopefully kitty doesn’t have to swim again!

I enjoyed the videos. It was fun to see what is involved. My dogs would enjoy the water portion although I think they would eat the goose instead of hand it off to me 😉

Love watching the dogs run! It really helps me understand the tests. Thanks for sharing the videos. 🙂

Wow congratulations on the ribbons! Very cool. The flag photos are so awesome. Those guys are so well behaved and look simply adorable. I love, love the photos. The ones with MK are funny.

Is Nellie the serious one of the group? That MK is something else!
BTW, we received the collar and leash yesterday, and love them!!!! Thanks so much!

LOL MK bites. She don’t need no stinkin’ claws. 🙂 Great pictures. I am glad that you posted the videos. I saw Glory’s but I guess I missed G-man’s. I know he didn’t pass, but he did a nice job up until the last blind. I like the way he runs. That looked like a challenging set-up. He will get it and Glory is also very close. 🙂

Those videos are amazing, I just love watching your dogs perform! MK is one tough kitty! I’ll bet she was as proud as a peacock with her vole. Hahaha!
