“We didn’t realize we were making memories, we just knew we were having fun”
Ruger
Waylon
Clay
This past weekend our friends Dana and Pete stopped over and did a little training with us. They brought their three Chesapeakes Ruger, Waylon and Clay. I get to train with Clay each week so it was nice to see his brothers out training with us on Saturday. We did some water work then moved on to some land work. The dogs got live pheasant flyers on land which they thought were the bomb. What’s not to like about a live bird? This was great pre hunt test training for the gang. It’s so much nicer to train with friends than it is alone.
And making some very nice ones at that! Great looking Chessies!!
absolutely… I wish we had friends here too who come over for some activities :o) It#s so great to see all those brown dawgs in action :o)
Handsome crew of friends…I bet Glory had fun 😉 Oops – she’s under house arrest for now isn’t she. Oh well.
I just love that quote up at the top! Awesome pics!

Wait a second. Let me get this straight. Not only do you “fetch” but you also go into water willingly to fetch? This may be the craziest thing I have ever seen in my, almost, 4 years.
Nice collages as well. Some good training going on there, I see. Good job my pals.

Hi Y’all!
Oh, and so much better if everybody gets some play time together, instead of just trainin’. Well, maybe not…you did say “live birds”…
Y’all come on by,
Hawk aka BrownDog
Training by ourselves all the time gets old, which is why we love having class almost every week to liven things up a bit.
That does look like it was a great time! Those dogs really get into that. It sounds like there were great prizes too 🙂
Looks like all involved had a great day. And, it is much more fun with friends. Looks like clay is a dark color.
I love that quote, and it certainly looks like everyone had a wonderful time. Your friends have some good looking dogs too! Clay looks really dark in color, pretty!
I’ll bet your gang likes training with other dogs too. That is really neat.
Looks like a great training day. Brown dawgs are jealous.
