CREATION
Â
When God made the Earth and sky, the flowers and the trees,
He then made all the animals, and all the birds & bees.
Â
And when his work was finished, not one was quite the same,
He said, “I’ll walk this earth of mine, and give each one a name.”
Â
And so he traveled land & sea, and everywhere he went,
A little creature followed him, until its strength was spent.
Â
When all were named upon the earth, and in the sky & sea,
The little creature said, “Dear Lord, there’s not one left for me.”
Â
The father sniffed and softly said, “I’ve left you till the end,
I’ve turned my own name back to front, and called you Dog,
My friend”.

Norman came with me to work yesterday and today to hang out and get his knee looked at. He fell on Frinday and was limping so I had it checked out. Xray showed arthritis which at almost 12 can’t be too shocked. He just had a arthritis flare up as his ACL tendon seems to be intact yet. It’s so hard when the older ones get old and struggle to get up and down. He is such a happy boy and takes everything in stride and won’t miss a ball fetch for anything no matter how much arthritis is holding him back he will give it his all.
He is my heart and I love this old boy to pieces I couldn’t of asked God for a better companion for my life. I hope he is with me many more years!
Love you Norman!
Dogs with debilitating conditions go on & on amazingly! Our hearts are sad for them because we can recognize that which keeps them from being “whole”, but they cannot! They continue their daily routine with a whole mind & spirit, even tho their bodys are strapped. My Marsh had the spirit of a Prince, his days were filled with all the fun & games a hardy Chesapeake would preform, even tho he was brought down with DM! Loved him & his Spirit so very much. He didn’t know he was crippled & I was happy for that but saddened for him! Love you guy! He was 10.
Hope he is feeling better soon. 🙂
Speedy healing Norman!
Love the poem 🙂
