It’s the first Monday of the month so it’s Walk Your Dog Hop day. Brought to you by BoingyDog, Paws and Pedals & Gizmo’s Terrier Torrent!
The Sand Spring gang has been doing a lot of hunting this fall. Since they are hunting they are not on a leash or being walked they are walking off leash and a whole lot of running. They cover all kinds of terrain from tall marsh grass to running and wading in water to climbing hills and ducking under trees. They get their workout for sure.
Here are some photos of their hunting off leash.
So you can see the gang has been covering all kinds of terrain. Our hunting season is winding down so next month we will probably be on a leash for our Walk The Dog Hop.
Hope you all are getting out and walking your dog and enjoying the scenery and the time spend with your friend. There is nothing else like it!

Wow, you really do cover all kinds of terrain – funny how similar our posts were this time: urban dogs and hunting dogs! Great photos – I think Kayo might like to try hunting one day. ;0)
We sure do, it really is great exercise when you have a vest full of birds. I bet Kayo would do good with his coloring he would blend right into the fields. Thanks for stopping by and thanks for the hop!
NO wonder these guys are Leaders on our LeaderBoards at PetsMove!
They are the movers and shakers.
Hunting is great exercise! And oh, how I love all the safety orange gear!

Oz
it’s deer hunting time so they have to wear orange
wow looks like you guys have a lot of fun on your walks!
They do and it is a bonus if they get a bird.
Hi Y’all!
Y’all, I’m doing lots of hikin’, off leash of course. I’m not really a fan of walkin’ on a leash. Course I only do it when we hafta do it ’cause of where we are walkin’…like the park or a rest stop.
Are y’all good on your leashes?
Y’all come back now!
Hawk aka BrownDog
Nellie and Gambler are good on a leash, Glory is a puller and not so good.
Fabulous pictures. Hunting season is winding down here too. Then it will be boring walks around the boring neighborhood in the boring darkness. 🙂
WoW. No flies on those guys. Hope they cope with being on the lead again. Lots of fun for everyone. Thanks for joining us on the Walk your Dog BlogHop. Happy Fitdogging
That just has to be one of the best ways to exercise dogs. The varieties of terrain and the varieties of exercise…walk, run, swim….it really covers it all! Congrats to Nellie for winning the Nov. PetsMove!
I wish I could take my gang out off leash! That’s never going to happen:(
Running free is such great exercise for dogs. The dogs that get to that in any form are very lucky! Around here there are very few places a dog can be off leash.
