What Was Up Gamblers Paw?

Back in the end of April I wrote a post on “Gambler Has Something Up His Paw And Rally O” if you missed it you can read it here. Basically Gambler attended his first Rally O training class with his pal Josey from Crawfish Chesapeakes. He attended this class because at the end of the class he was going to get tested on a new AKC title. In May AKC started taking completed tests for AKC Trick Dog titles so we needed to get our completed tests done and in the mail by May.

So this is what was up Gamblers paw!

Gambler showing his trick dog skills.

Both Josey and Gambler completed two levels of Trick Dog. You need to start out at the Novice level and if you pass that level you can move up in levels, you need to pass each level before moving on. There are four levels, Novice, Intermediate, Advance and Performer. This night the dogs were tested in Novice and Intermediate.

We had a lot of fun this night, something definitely fun to do, the first two levels were no problem for our dogs, in Novice you needed to do 10 tricks, if your dog already has their CGC (Canine Good Citizen) title you automatically got 5 points so you only had to perform 5 more tricks. In the intermediate level you needed to do all 10 tricks, advance you need to do 5 tricks but the tricks are pretty hard, last but not least the performer level you need to put a routine together with 10 tricks.   Now advance we might need some practicing and performer for sure we would need some practice since in performer you need to put a routine together and I’m not good with choreographing routines.

Stop back tomorrow to find out how Josey and Gambler did and see a reenactment of the tricks Gambler performed.
