Follow-Up Friday

This Follow-Up Friday is going to continue on from yesterday’s UKC Premier 2013 post and sorry to say it is going to be a short one as I’ve hit a brick wall and am very tired from today’s events. We got up at 5:30 as we needed to be at the show by 7:30 to find out when we get there because of the terrible storms over night there would be a 1 1/2 hr delay. We got up early for nothing, so we canvased the area and saw all the vendors tents that were blown over, what a sad site. Everyone did well at getting there sites back up in working order.

Today was the big day for Kathy and I as we had dogs in the Top Ten from 2012 and had to have a special invite to show our dogs in the Top Ten conformation ring. Kathy was showing Duke and I was showing Glory while the handler from yesterday showed Gambler. There was one other female Chesapeake in the champion ring. They all did very well and Kathy with Duke dog went BOB while Glory got  the Top Ten Finals Award Of Excellence. There had to be at least 3 dogs in the ring at the same time and the judge did not have to give anyone this award and she chose to give Glory it. I was so pleased, what a hugh accomplishment!
