The Sand Spring gang well Gambler and Glory were Chessie ambassadors yesterday for the American Chesapeake Club. We were invited to volunteer our time talking about Chesapeakes in the American Chesapeake Club booth at The National Pheasant Fest and Quail Classic Hunting Expo which was held in Milwaukee, WI.
Where is the mischief at Pheasant Fest? The mischief is Gambler getting to kiss the girls…..mauh!
A great time was had by all, many people stopped to pet the dogs and get information on the breed. The most asked questions were if they are aggressive and hard to train. My answer is they are not aggressive if gotten from a good breeder and brought up right and you can’t train them like you train a lab. Chesapeakes have gotten a bad rap from years ago but they have come a long ways with responsible breeders and people learning about the breed and knowing how to raise one.

Looks like fun. I think the key to any breed is knowing how to handle them.
Glory and G-Man look like they had a GREAT time being representatives (and of course, doling out kisses)! What a fun day!

That looks like lots of fun! You don’t see many Chessies around here. I didn’t know what one was until our son brought Ash home to us! She is the sweetest dog ever and even though she’s not a hunting dog, she is awesome!
Do you charge by the kiss, Gambler? You totally should. You’d be rolling in kibble by now.
I love that they are ambassadors for their breed! And they seem to be very friendly, but I didn’t think that was a Chessie trait, is that right?
Enjoyed your FB photos. You all such great ambassadors!
I just love that the ACC Booth turned into the Kissing Booth thanks to Gambler. That’s some fun mischief. 🙂
Fun pics. I’d love to get some kisses from those cuties! We go to the local dog show here every year, and our fave part is always cruising all the breed booths. Fun!
Wow!! That looks like so much fun!!!! How cool!!
Thanks for sharing your outting!

I wanted to write and let you know that I am presenting you with an award on my blog tomorrow, Tuesday February 18th. Please accept it with the love and admiration I intended. Thanks for being such an inspiration to me. My blog is Barking from the Bayou, http://mkclinton.com/
Congratulations! Melissa Clinton
Gambler, you can kizz me any day 🙂 That looks a lot of fun. I have never seen your breed over here. xxoxxx

I wish I was there to get a kiss too :o) I had no clue about Chesapeakes before I met this fabulous breed via blogging. They are very rare here and believe it or not, I never saw one in pawson :o) Think you should visit me once :o)
What a great honor to be asked to represent your breed. Your babies are gorgeous and I’d have gotten kisses too!
What a wonderful booth display. Looks like you all had fun. Thanks for a great job representing the breed.
It looks like everyone had a great time. Your flirty dogs were certainly great representatives for their breed! 🙂
