Monday Mischief~ACC Booth at Pheasant Fest

The Sand Spring gang well Gambler and Glory were Chessie ambassadors yesterday for the American Chesapeake Club. We were invited to volunteer our time talking about Chesapeakes in the American Chesapeake Club booth at The National Pheasant Fest and Quail Classic Hunting Expo which was held in Milwaukee, WI.

Where is the mischief at Pheasant Fest? The mischief is Gambler getting to kiss the girls…..mauh!

A great time was had by all, many people stopped to pet the dogs and get information on the breed. The most asked questions were if they are aggressive and hard to train. My answer is they are not aggressive if gotten from a good breeder and brought up right and you can’t train them like you train a lab. Chesapeakes have gotten a bad rap from years ago but they have come a long ways with responsible breeders and people learning about the breed and knowing how to raise one.

That looks like lots of fun! You don’t see many Chessies around here. I didn’t know what one was until our son brought Ash home to us! She is the sweetest dog ever and even though she’s not a hunting dog, she is awesome!

I love that they are ambassadors for their breed! And they seem to be very friendly, but I didn’t think that was a Chessie trait, is that right?

Fun pics. I’d love to get some kisses from those cuties! We go to the local dog show here every year, and our fave part is always cruising all the breed booths. Fun!

I wish I was there to get a kiss too :o) I had no clue about Chesapeakes before I met this fabulous breed via blogging. They are very rare here and believe it or not, I never saw one in pawson :o) Think you should visit me once :o)
