Pending UKC approval Slammer earned his UKC Show Champion and Rally Obedience 1 title on August 30, 2020.

Last February Slammer and I entered our first conformation show, he was entered in all four shows for the weekend and he won all four shows. He received 4 competition wins and 70 points for the weekend. In UKC you need 3 competition wins under 3 different judges and 100 points to receive your show title. You were able in the past to receive your show title in one weekend if you were lucky enough to have the wins but now with UKC new rules it takes you 5 days of showing if you win all the shows so we needed to wait for the next show to finish off his title.

August 29-30 Dodge County Canine Club got clearance to host a show during COVID-19. They had a limit on how many people could attend and masks were a requirement. I entered Slammer into all four conformation shows, all four rally obedience 1 events and total dog. Total dog is when you get a qualified score in a performance event and a win in the conformation ring. It shows your dog can do performance and look good while doing it.

This would be Slammers first rally obedience event. We have been taking classes and practicing. He needed to qualify in 3 out of the 4 events I entered to receive his title. We pulled it off with scores of 95/100, 87/100, 95/100 with a third placing, 88/100.

In conformation he took first place in all 4 shows in the breeder/handler class. He took winners dog in 3 out of 4 shows and took best of breed 2 out 4 shows. These wins finished off his show title and because he qualified in rally obedience he received total dog status as well.

Congrats to Slammers sister Gunney who won best of breed the other 2 shows.
