St. Patrick’s Day Treats~Tasty Tuesday

A while ago I was lucky enough to win 2 giveaways from Oz The Terrier, I won the Canine Cooking book and Honest Kitchens Beef & Bone Broth. Since St. Patrick’s Day was coming up I grabbed the cookbook thumbed through the cookbook to see what I could make for the little green pooches.

I found the recipe Cheeseburger Chow. In the recipe it called for beef broth and I knew I had the perfect beef broth to try out. I grabbed the Honest Kitchens Beef & Bone Broth read the instructions and gave it a try and OMD I wanted to try it.

To make the broth you start with a cup of hot water and then add 2 tablespoons of dehydrated mix to the water and mix well.

Being that Gambler was the chef again this day he thought he should sniff the Beef & Bone broth, and when you sniff that leads to trying because you know it is all so good.

The recipe called for 5 cups of oats, one cup of beef broth and 1 cup of Parmesan cheese. Mix all the ingredients together, roll out, cut into shapes you would like and bake at 350 for 30 minutes. I of course added some food coloring to go along with the green theme.

The pooches had a little green beer with their treats, they weren’t driving so they could drink as much as they wanted. You can see by the pictures the bones smelled really good Glory couldn’t help herself she just had to try one.

The pooches jumped up and down and went gaga for these treats I think they were a big hit!

May the Irish hills caress you;
may her lakes and rivers bless you;
may the luck of the Irish enfold you;
may the blessings of St Patrick behold you

    We love The Honest Kitchen Winter Warmers. I add it to the boys food and after our one snow day, I gave them a cup of just the broth. They licked their cups across the kitchen.
