A little of this and a little of that and everything in between…
I didn’t adopt a cat in October but I did adopt a feral cat in the end of May.
You can read about how MK came to live with us here.
Since it is Adopt A Pet Month it is time for Tuesday’s Tails.

ABOUT RILEY
His foster parent is Dusty R. The adoption fee for Riley is $130.
Please complete our online application form if you are interested in adopting Riley. A volunteer will contact you as soon as possible.Click here to go to the online adoption formAll Kalamazoo Animal Rescue dogs & puppies are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Dogs have been heartworm tested and if appropriate (age and time of year) all dogs and puppies are given heartworm preventative. All are given medication to rid them of roundworms and checked and treated for fleas & ear mites, if needed. Dogs and puppies are given distemper vaccines and depending on how long the pet has been in foster care, additional distemper vaccine(s) may be necessary and the expense will be incurred by the adopter. Any canine over 4 months of age is brought current on the Rabies vaccine. Additional vet care may have been provided depending on the particular animal’s needs. Dogs are individually priced as above. Please note that we do not ship dogs and we cannot guarantee that a long trip to see a foster dog will result in an adoption or taking the dog home on that day.It is in the best interest of pooch and owner to enroll in an obedience class soon after adoption. After all, you have a lot to learn about your new friend. The Kalamazoo Dog Training Club offers a discount to owners with newly adopted dogs. Enroll before any behavior problems start – you won’t regret it!

I like to read but don’t have much time. I found time to read . It was a short story about Ku’s life as a puppy in an Alaskan Puppy Mill and how he got rescued and adopted by an amazing woman. I couldn’t put the book down once I started and I shed many tears at how this puppy has grown into a beautiful adult dog and has overcome so many fears. So appropriate for Adopt A Pet Month. You can read Ku’s Haiku blog here. I gave this book a 5 star rating on Amazon. By buying Ku’s book you will help support animal rescue. How cool is that?
So that wraps it up for today, why don’t you hop on over to 2 Brown Dawgs & co-host Ruckus the Eskie see what their up to and grab the badge and join the hopping fun!

Concatulations on the new kitty and for being such a responsible pet parent! I am Dakota’s brother, Cody! I have a blog too! Hint:that means kitty needs a blog 🙂
LOL I think of it, but man I’m running out of time in the day. Have a great day Cody. Pets and hugs to you.
That’s being a good parent, MK!
Oh my dog! What a pawesome surprise! Thank yooowooowooooo for mentioning my book and giving it five paws! Wooooowooooooooooo! 😀
You are so welcome KU, I loved the book.
I don’t know if I’d have the nerve to adopt a feral cat, so good on you for doing that! Cats make me a little nervous, so I’d probably not be too good. Gotta say she looks pretty happy.
It has to be the right feral cat and I think because she was so young and hurt she just imprinted even better. She is super happy.
Going to look for that book now. Hoping its on Kindle… 🙂
It is!
How neat you adopted a feral cat a few months ago. We haven’t read Ku’s book but we’d like to.
thank you, and yes the book is great.
Thanks so much for participating in TNT! MK sure lucked out when you found her in the marsh. (Even after her surgery this week, I bet she agrees!). I love the t-shirt of Glory for the pink whistle society! (BTW I didn’t say on your other post, but I thought the Team Giblet t-shirt you made for your host was really cute). Hope Riley finds a good home.
I love team giblet! I think MK is very happy where she is at. She even sleeps on the bed with us 6.
Thanks for hopping on this Thursday to TNT! What a small tiny kitty cat! Happiness.

Love that shirt! And Ku’s book too…About the need for a blogging calendar…I’ve been feeling it myself…Just signed up for a local seminar next week on using e-calendars…I’m hoping I can put it to use for the blog
Riley is a beautiful senior boy! Hope he finds a home real soon. I started doing a calendar at the first of this month. It has helped me even though I still don’t get everything accomplished that I need to! Have a great weekend!
